Just followed this step by step it’s excellent The graders part was getting the PCA and air tube next to it off they where stubborn I sprayed iso propyl alcohol on rubber air hose to slide it back on Terrific Thank you 😊

NICE! But what is with the open bypass? Is this the reason for the loud "blow-off" sound?

I would like to see the dyno "improvements" this made. I hear a lot of negative about CAI's being B.S and that they don't make HP/TQ gains without a tune so prove the nay-sayers wrong! Put it on the dyno with no tune.

I did one on my old 2018 V6 Camry, I could absolutely tell a difference in power, other folks that drove it commented on it too. It may not be much but there is definitely a notable difference

So this intake does work with big turbo mod sweet

I have noticed that where the "fresh air" intake tube/opening fits snugly against the back of the front grill,which by the way (on my 2020) is a solid piece of plastic covering Most of the Intake opening. How am I supposed to "improve air flow" if this opening is about 70% obstructed or blocked....just curious,,,should I drill holes in the solid panel and trim to match the grill opening ???

What happens if you install the filter with the arrow up what is the difference

Somebody link me where can I get a pre filter for this, or do I even need one?

I'm missing the inlet. Can I still install this roush CAI without the included inlet? Thanks

Ever since I installed this on my eco boost my cars been melting gas did I do something wrong

I just got a eco boost it's bone stock really want to get this for my first mod or anyone recommend any other mods also not trying to void my warranty so no tune

You can get a tune and intake straight from Ford Performance which won't void any warranties as long as you have it installed by the dealer

Question, how do you clean it? Mine is really dusty, only had it for about a year maybe a little less.

+Bad Omen yea I did it and everything is stock , just remove the hose and the opening coming from the intake hose itself just put a cap to cover it , look up vta mod there should be some videos showing how to do it. Takes like 2 mins to do.

Why doesn't this for on the 2018 and up?

What about if I don’t put intake in my car ?

Anyone know how large the bypass hole is? Or where to get a plug or vacuum cap to cover it?

Home Depot. It’s called a chair leg grip. That’s what I used and it works perfectly fine. Only a $2 mod

I installed mine last week and honestly I don't know if there's a gain, maybe slightly but the throttle were definitely more responsive andt the turbo sound were more pronounced.

so with this Roush Cold Air intake kit you DONT need to tune the car? someone help me out please!

No tune is required. Since the Ecoboost uses a speed density system, many . old air kits will not require custom tuning.

does not necesary means a HP gain, but the faster reaction due to more "stable" airflow means you reach your desired HP's a little faster.

Can someone please tell me why I lost horsepower instead of gaining when I bought this exhaust,, not to mention I also lost a race to my cousin with a stock eco boost. We have the exact same eco boost but mine is the one with this Roush CAI. Help

Same gearing? same tire size? same transmission? There are a lot of factors in a race, The Roush will add a little power to your car but not necessarily enough to overcome other factors.

Bill Tumas yes same everything, same car same tires same everything, we got it in the same Ford the same day, and like I said when I was stock I beat him, WE BOTH HAVE STOCK CARS only me that I put this intake in and made mine slower!?

+3LIT3JUIC3 AF will always bounce all over the place, the only time you want it consistent is under full load.

Exactly mine goes to 20 when off throttle but stays around 13 14 under load. I am down to deciding between this Roush intake and Steedas pro flow. 1 Plus for Roush dry non oiled filter, 1 plus for Steeda gains across all RPMs as roush power comes in higher rpms.

Does this fit on a 2019 eco boost ?

No you should not get a check engine light with this system, usually that only comes on if there is a leak or something isn't connected properly.

We used a cap from another cold air intake, you can get caps like that at any auto parts store.

And with the Roush it won't void the warranty?

I heard this air intake messes up your engine or a light comes up on your Gauges.

It may happen, but not with K&N or other brand products.. A good brand cotton filter is oiled up just right but those noname import ones are soaked sometimes It oils up air mass sensors which leads to wrong air to fuel rate which leads to check engine light and fucked up idle.. That’s my personal experience, so be sure to buy quality products

I installed this along with the Turbosmart blow off valve and I'm getting a weird type of bop noise when I let off the gas when coming into boost, is that normal? I installed everything exactly like the directions.

Abdul Samaro it threw a check engine light P0234. missed a shift and it stopped boosting till it was cleared.

Ruin a good engine with a cheap aftermarket air cleaner? What ppm does this protect the. Engine? I can run. Without an air cleaner to get performance which is what you offer. Stock is better.

How could this run right without a tune, Bill tell the truth......

Easy, the Ecoboost is a speed density system, not mass air. When you change the intake there is no need for a tune for the vehicle to run properly. It will benefit from a tune and there is power to be had but performance will improve even without the tune.

B Verrico Got my Roush CAI along with an SCT tuner with an Unleashed tune, and boy let me tell ya, the difference is night and day for under $800.

I would be shocked to see 5 hp improvement let alone 29 like Roush claims.

TheTheDoook the video was published in November of 2015, 2017s didn’t exist yet. We sometimes update the titles of the videos for new models but there is no reason to reshoot them.
