i think that the shift buttons were perfectly fine the complaining was overblown, i was happy with them in my 991.1.. Flat 6 screaming in the tunnel. who cares if its 265 HP. still awesome. enjoy

I have a Yellow 2014 as well and the attention it gets on the street is unlike any.

I had a 2005 S for 15 years, now driving a GT Silver 981 Spyder. Until you drive a Spyder, you have no idea. Every other drive I get compliments on the street…

The Sound of your mic. is so terrible. Especially when Recording from inside the car

I see you're in my neighborhood - the LBC - Long Beach - in fact you went right by the Porsche dealership by the Circle!

The 2022 Porsche Boxster GTS which I recently ordered had a $250 option to make the steering easier at slow speeds, like when parking. This is a software modification that’s all. Perhaps you can ask Porsche if you can get this on your 2014 model.

Hi Andy! Experiencing the Boxster was a nice Christmas present to yourself. I actually appreciate the base car with minimal options, although I’m sure you would’ve preferred a manual shift. I test drove a new Cayman of similar vintage and I believe it stickered about $55k so I wonder how much that Boxster would be worth today? BTW car sounded great but the audio quality - not so much. Hope your year is off to a great start!

Happy new year! Let's go from the top :) so if it's my only car, then ya, it's gotta be a manual, but if not, I actually rly like the Porsche PDK. I guess for me a combination of double clutch gearbox + mid engine is a super car sort of a thing, and the fact that it derives from their motorsports background. I think both are good, it's just that I already have one of the best manual experience in the S2000 :) I think this one being a base with 56k miles, it's probably somewhere in the high 30k to low 40k. Caymans are a bit more. Regarding audio, thanks for the feedback and I apologize :( I believe it is due to my mic location. I think I have it placed too close so I'm gonna place it near my chest next time. I hear that it's especially worse watching on a phone...

Get yourself a 981 S, with PDK/Chrono. It’s viewed by the motoring press as the greatest sports car ever made. Btw 981 Boxsters do not roll... that car you rented needs the suspension checking out.

I had one back in 2014 manual the only downside was the British roads which are atrocious

Yes the microphone quality ruins your video. Buy a good one and it will be money well spent

Loaded Boxster S is worth reviewing...that POS base 981 is not worth a mention.

I traded a 911 for the Base Boxster and I couldn't be happier. If you know how to drive, you will be very rewarded. Leslie's comment is a typical non car person. Just buy the Hellcat and call it the day if you want horsepower. It won't be as fun tho. BTW, I drove one of those also and said, no thanks

Always those who owns a Ford focus (not ST) have these extremely distorted perceptions of base 981, I owned both S and base Cayman, the only a difference is by a bees dick when it comes to performance. You would not notice the difference on a public road within regulated speed, based by fun factor as per normal use the 2.7 provides almost identical drive and sounds better on full load then the bigger 3.4. The 3.4 has better lowdown torque but neither are very torquey as you have to chase high rpm for rewards. Stop exaggerating the difference between both cars especially if you are not a fully competent track driver, S is predominantly for bragging rights for most average drivers.
