Kyle mentioned on his Facebook page a couple of weeks ago I think that he had bought copyright free music so I'm guessing it's from there. Now AMG makes my kind of a car...power & torque I wouldn't know what to do with, awd finally, beautiful design, proper exhaust, exclusivity guaranteed and all in a sleek understate package that doesn't get too much attention on the road unless you know exactly what it is...Gotta love it

Well if you look at the specs and older prices for this car it’s really a good comparison although it is a different setup (i.e:it’s a sedan) it is still a roughly good acceleration test

Great review as usual Kyle. You've been helping narrow down my search and I'm now stuck between this and the RS7. Given the infamous AMG depreciation and slight styling edge on the RS7, I have just about made up my mind. Thanks for doing these - so much better than being hassled at the dealership.

I have to say i am a bmw fan but this car is just amazing, i think this is now one of the best saloon available on the market today and cars, i just love this machine

@@anthonywright5275 yes it is, stock to stock especially if it’s the awd it’s faster than an f10 m5 (not f90) and on stage 1-2 it’s running very similar 60-130 times again, and will eat them from a dig.

The ECO mode is only for the start/stop function where the engine turns off at a complete stop, and then starts automatically when the foot is released from the break. The cylinder deactivation feature is available in the 5.5 liter naturally aspirated engine that we see in the SLK55 AMG, not in the M157 in the E63. Just wanted to clear that so there is no confusion. Other than that your videos are great and I enjoy the in depth explanation. Cheers

Haters can talk all they want but the truth is, many people will stop and stare at most luxury- line vehicles, but when it comes to the high-line Mercedes, EVERYBODY stops and stares. I've noticed that myself.

I watch this video atleast, once a month. My next benz and ima have it sooner than later.

One of the best cars in the world. Near 600hp power, never-ending torque, 4matic & can still get 20mpg when not flogging it. I can live without some of the chrome though. Is it an American only option? I don't remember seeing that much chrome on an E63 in Canada.

Brake light rear turn signals cheapen the whole look of the car, the amber LED strip in the non- north American spec looks a lot more luxurious and classy

And safe. It's ridiculous how the US still allows red rear turn signals, and even operating on the SAME BULB as the brake. Terrible, along with not requiring side signal repeaters.

mlps93 Really it's little things like that that can avoid a accident, I loved the amber turn signal on my 2008 E 350. Turn signal in the brake, not a good design on my 2015 E350.

Thanks Kyle. These video's are always all over youtube. They are Interesting but they never let you drive the cars so you can't comment on how they drive. Just shows us all the interior options, and I never can sit through one because really these cars are about the driving experience and burning rubber.

God people lets be serious.... its not like everything is about speed only. There is not only one car manufacturer in the world, there are plenty more. This is why Id take an S8 over an E63.... If I wanted a merc Id definetly go for an old C63 :). I love mercs, bmw's, audi's, volvo's, lexus and many other car manufacturers.... Every car has something special and every car is DIFFERENT. Almost and car can be fast, but there is something like the SMILE factor.

Mercedes Benz says it's a "multi-clutch" transmission, so unless they've somehow invented triple or quadruple clutch transmissions, I think it's safe to say it's a double clutch.

ewt415 Mercedes call it MCT, Multi-Clutch Technology, which is not the same as a dual clutch transmission. Mercedes previously used a regular torque converter automatic gearbox in their older AMG cars, what MCT does is it replaces the torque converter with multiple wet clutches instead (around 6-7 clutches I think). In a dual clutch transmission there is two clutches (obviously), but each clutch has its own transmission shaft. Because of the arrangement of the two clutches and two transmission shafts, a dual clutch transmission can pre-select gears whereas an MCT cannot. MCT does not work in the same way as a dual clutch transmission at all & therefore cannot be called a dual clutch transmission.

+Brian Lee I like Mercedes, Audi and BMW but I would choose Audi it's just my opinion, 2009 Audi a8 6.0 w12 smooth, luxurious yet powerful quick and fast, but like I said Germans, Japanese and American cars are the best

For all around speed I'd take an R35 but you can't even compare the interiors when it comes to luxury. Just saw this in person today and I've seen an R35 in person too, and the E63 has an interior that looks like it's worth the price. The R35 has a very simple interior. It's nice but certainly not nearly as luxury as an E63.
