Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

We are replacing the engine oil and filter on my brothers 2014 Mazda 6. This is an easy process, and one that should be done on a regular basis based off of the owners manual specification.

$60 and one of the 2 dealerships left the cover off . 10 to 15 dollars plus shipping (mazda ghr5.) once you know the part # it's easy to find.

I have a 2014 Mazda 6 Touring, so according to the owner's manual, I need to replace the coolant after 10 years. I have 43K miles on it so far. Is it best to get the OEM coolant? If not, which brand would you recommand?

OEM is most often going to be the "best" bet on my opinion. As far as other options, coolant is not one of those fluids I've ever spent much time looking into so I have no opinion on a recommendation for you

Do you have to let the oil drain before you do oil top up?

To change the oil yes, drain oil, out plug back in. Replace filter, fill back up. Wait 5-10 minutes and check dipstick. That's what I do anyway

Don't you hate it when you drop the drain plug into the dirty oil pan? Noticed you didn't say anything. Same thing I do if the kids are around 😂

"Diy" the wrong way?? Its one thing not to have a proper clip remover tool for the belly pan, but please use a proper socket for the oil plug next time. 😬
