My name is JuanCarlos Pena and I am a technician in Jacksonville, FL. In today's video we are going to be changing the rear brake pads on a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe. Typically, these should be replaced when they are about 2MM minimum thickness. If you wear them down to "metal on metal" it could damage the rotors and over extend the caliper. So how long did the total job take? Did you order that "collapser" through amazon? Good, quick tutorial. I'm glad this didn't have an electronic parking brake that has to be disengaged...

Both wheels took me about an hour. i only used manual tools, I'm sure if you have a power ratchet it would cut down some time. YES! I ordered the collapser kit from amazon. It came with a bunch of different adapters in case the caliper piston has to be twisted to collapse. Worth the money!
