These were locally made, so no brand on it. Sold at local motorcycle shops.

hey,, thanks for the great reviews ... i actually live in KL and debating what bike to buy.... a little lost between cb650f, MT-07, used 2012 Used Ducati monster ... and cb500x ... the riding position on the cb500x was tempting to be honest(+price). would be great if you could recommend, it will be my daily commuter and for weekend fun.

Some of the bikes in your list, I haven't tried before, so I cannot give comment on those. Straight up I would drop the Monster from the list, the riding position is weird (to me), is it the air cooled or liquid cooled model? If air cooled, drop it off the list. The CB500 would be the "weakest" one of the bunch in terms of the power, if you don't mind that then it's definitely value for money, being around the 30-ish price point. Personally I would still lean towards the 650F compared to the MT or CB500, inline four will be smooth, sounds good (with aftermarket exhaust), price difference isn't really that much when you look at it long term. My friend said it felt heavy but it's weight is normal for the category it's in, you just need to get used to the bike's weight and handling it, especially in heavy traffic jam where you have to manoeuvre slowly.

TheSighBored Alright man, much appreciated... am leaning towards the CB650F as well ... will make a move next week hopefully and ill definitely pass by you shop to get the exhaust upgraded (go easy on me with the prices lol) .. thanks a lot.

I thought everyone rushing to buy before GST kicks in.. LoL.. Happy shopping and BTW I'm not selling exhaust or have a shop, I just shoot videos of them, but I can recommend shops to you to check out. RSSR!

Lol .. not really man .. thats what i thought in the beginning .. but then i did some research and apparently the price should go down at least 2 to 4 percent.. but then again this is malaysia!.. ill post something when i get it

The motorcycle shop where the owner bought it from had them.. CNC made by a local company I think

It's a locally CNC made slider, not sure what brand. Probably a lot of sliders available now compared to when the bike was first launched in the markets.

They use the same engine mount points to the bike frame, to install the slider.

Sliders are usually mounted to engine mounting points on the frame, it functions to stop the engine casing from impact to the ground if the bike falls.
