    It is an Evotech tail tidy. There are only a few manufacturers of monster tail kits and IMO this one is the nicest.

    All monsters have abs standard now. I went to Hattar initially but purchased from a dealer in the south bay.

    First off, I really liked your video! I have been after one of these ever since I got my endorsement. One quick question: What make is the tail chop? I don't believe you mentioned the specs for it. I love the way it cleans up the tail section. Thanks for the info!

    Monster 796 was released April 2010 so you can only buy 2011 and up models unless you were planning on a hypermotard. The new designed 696 has been in production since 2008. The ABS although very cool will barely be used because it is unnatural for riders to smash on the front brakes and depend on a computer (I'm sure this works perfect) it's just counter intuitive.

    Hey man, thanks for the overview of your monster! Quick question, how well does the Scotts damper work on the bike? Read many articles of Ducati owners complaining of a, wobble or shimmy, but don't know the extent of the problem...

  • @easymemesniper
    @easymemesniper12 жыл бұрын

    Out the door price you're looking at $11k. MSRP is $10.3k but invoice is in the low $9k range, so that + tax + fees + destination will bring you close to $10.5-$11k OTD depending on your location and bargaining.

    The 1100 Seat height 810mm (31.9in). 795 Seat height 770mm (30.3in). I know that you can specify your monster, so I guess you can raise them but I am not 100% sure. -Norway

    The Scotts damper works very well.. BUT honestly, I don't believe the Monsters truly suffer from "wobbles/shimmies" like the online forums suggest... if you have smooth good throttle control and a delicate grip (soft!!) of the bars, you will never suffer from any ill-effects (see Keith Code's Twist of the Wrist for handling tips)... Dampers are big improvements on any bike, but not a *need* on the Monster more than they are on other bikes.

    Are you planning on purchasing it brand new? Keep in mind the costs that go along should anything happen to the bike. The 696 is easy going town bike, 796 highway - hills - street, 1100 is the Beast but that definitely is overkill for your first haha. 796 is the perfect in between. Once again if you've got the finances set up then go for it. You won't regret it ;)

    At first I thought the camera man was a goofball, but after further review I'm convinced he's clowning the owner of the bike. He's either being really condescending, or has a serious man-crush going on. Or maybe he's just a young kid in awe of the Ducati....Nice bike btw!
