For my drivers test, I had drove in a 2019 LT model. And man let me tell you now. That was the most comfortable and smoothest car I ever drove in. I'm trying to buy a 2015 impala ls.

Your video was almost more fun than when I'm driving my new 2016 LTZ. I went from Phila Pa to Cape May NJ today and averaged 29.7mpg. Just passed 1000 new miles on the trip.

Going back to when I was a kid and remembering my grandfather's 70's Impala 4 door Hardtop and looking at this car shows how much cars have changed in the past decades.

Got the 3.6 in a 2012 Impala. It screams from 40 to 80 mph.

This car is much better in person. Don't knock it till you have tried it. Trust me I know. I never thought I would have liked it but came away very impressed after a test drive. Looks better in person too and that includes the interior.

Right a lot of people go for Malibu newest one's but they don't realize the impala is still a step up and if you can afford it get the impala but the Malibu is good too but you know it's a preference just a thought if you are in market test drive before you buy

I like the new impala also,the v6 posted good numbers for performance,it sounds good.i would pick this over the new Avalon cause it has more space and its ride is smoother

Seems like an economy oriented transmission, constantly seeking the highest gear for efficiency

Mercedes transmissions do the same thing... If you're driving aggressively or it's in sport mode & the transmission downshifts, it holds the gear for a few seconds if you let off just in case you're going around a turn. The last thing you'd want is a tranny upshifting mid corner. I really like that feature.

That’s a fuel pump symbol. That’s for gas mileage.

Drove it for 2 weeks when I was in US. Very slow gearbox (slower than Dodge Chargers 5-gearer), loud wheels propably because of ther wideness, huge nicely done interior (actually european level) and deep trunk thanks to front wheel drive.

Can hear every bump.

Yes, they seem relatively the same, but this one is a bit slower not sure why but something is a tad bit different.

I have a 2012 GMC Acadia with a similar transmission and it does a great job, regardless of what it may sound like in this video. It is quite responsive, even more than it may sound.

I kinda disagree. It's only the past 10-15 years GM has been bad. That sounds like a long time but GM has been in business for over 100 years. I also do think that the impala is class competitive. Maybe just give it a turbo engine option. They still do have some lackluster cars like the malibu but at least they are improving.

That dash is not nice to look at in my opinion, but other than that I think the Impala is really nice

That’s how professionals hold the wheel. 9 and 3 and then push pull at the bottom. Try and do a slalom any different. I’ll beat you every time.

I am not sure, In this 0-60 clip /watch?v=PvI5EocmDjs The trans seems a bit more responsive. The way the impala in this video holds on to the rpms tells me there is something wrong with it. These test mules go through a lot of abuse so maybe its a little worn.

Well that's where it's destined. GM has marred it's reputation. IDC how good they do in the present or in the future they're too far gone. Only GM cars I'd ever consider is a Corvette or one of their trucks. When it comes to whatever else in their lineup chances the competitors beat it.

Don't be fooled folks. GM does not stand behind their products. Try getting an ABS module for the yr 2000 Corvette. They don't even support their most premium products.

jmc6000 it's in sport mode, holds gears during harder acceleration to keep it in the power band, also when accelerating in any automatic transmissions under heavy acceleration it will "hold" because the car assumes you've let off the gas to go around the curve or down a hill and is staying prepared for the heavy acceleration. Sorry

it upset me that it only comes with a 4 cylinder. I think they should bring back the impala to the muscle car it originally was. we have an 01 and it has a 3.8 V6 in it. we also have a 98 riviera with a supercharged 3.8. MORE POWER PLEASE. i think the 4 cylinder should be an option but come base with at least a V6.

No it's the driver. I have 2015 LTZ, shift like a dream. Not problems. Has 106,000 miles. Tri coat pearl paint. Love it

I like what Chevy did with the new Impala. Everything except the steering wheel, which I think is one of the ugliest I have ever seen.
