2014 Audi A8 TDI 0-60 MPH Drive & Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

( www.TFLcar.com ) The 2014 Audi A8 TDI is fast, comfortable and surprisingly fuel efficient German luxury sedan. At just under $100,00 it is not inexpensive, but it is fun to drive. In another accurate, fun and informative TFLcar review, Nathan and Roman drive the biggest and baddest Audi diesel to see if it os worth the cost of entry. And of course the boys also fin our just how fast the Audi is from 0-60 MPH.

I hate the new regulations on diesels in the U.S.compared to Europe. I hate Urea injection and the fact that if a vehicle runs out of diesel exhaust fluid it becomes immobilized.

Went on Audi web site (usa) seems you can only have this Diesel and the new A8 ins't available yet in US. But if you can have the chance to try the more powerfull A8 TDI, the 4.2L putting out 385hp, do it! It's more suited to this car. (and you are lucky, in Europe the SQ5 is in Diesel with the 3.0L BiTdi in 313hp)

I keep hearing how iDrive is the best, as well as Audi's MMI is difficult. I found the MMI the best system in my opinion. Mercedes the most complex. The Mercedes controller system is flawed in my opinion. Although the iDrive is good, I find the MMI better. Also that touchpad in the A8, just makes entering text so much easier. I live in the UK and Im right handed, yet I have no issues using my left hand on it

When I drive, I'd rather not feel the road at all. Our roads suck. Road feel may seem fun but after awhile it just makes you fatigued and you just want to get home and into bed. I think Audi gets it right based on what Roman and Nathan are saying.

You do not need it in the US. In Germany it makes sense, if ya go >200 km/h on the Autobahn. The V8 still provides huge acceleration even beyond 220, 240 km/h where the V6 declines rapidly after 220 and takes a long time to reach Vmax at 240-250.

I know it's just a 'first take' look at the Audi infotainment system from which reviewers base their opinions. I'm OK with that. But it's the same thing with Fords Sync system. A lot of negative opinions. It took me a bit over a week to get used to the Sync, and have had no problems. Ok, Ford....Audi....apples to oranges, but the sentiment is the same.

If you really have to test 0-60 on a luxury car, at least use the electronic launch control (gear in S, ESP off, left foot in brake pedal, right foot on gas at +- 3200rpm, release brake pedal, and voilá)

Audi introduced the LED running day lights to the world in 2007. Since then, every car company has copied them. Basically every new car you see on the road has LED head and tail lights now. You can thank Audi for that. It doesn't matter what you think of the styling, facts are facts.

That 0-60 time was really bad for an A8. My 2013 Accord V6 does it in 6.1 secs, its super funtional and practical like the A8, almost as comfortable as the A8, almost as fun to drive like the A8, more fuel efficient, safety features just as or even better than the A8, way more reliable than the A8, doesnt need a software to cheat on emissions, and cost twice LESS than the A8¡

I'm confused. How can this be compared to the all new 2014 Mercedes S-Class? Sunglass/goetee man is clueless as to the to the power difference. "Hint hint" guy really likes the Benz but will not admit it as they likely did not lend these jokesters an S-Class as it is not comparable to the S-Class. I'll leave it at that. Check the new S out. BTW 0-60 on this video shows the Audi at a crazy 8.0 seconds!!! The Benz is 4.8 seconds…I'll stay with Benz
