hell yeah ive been loving mine since the first second i drove it no its not fast at all when stock but they are among the funnest cars on the road and when you add some more power they start becoming some of the quickest as well

Cool footage, but the testimonials are on the screen for such a brief period of time that you can't easily read them. Also, the 1-word flashes of text that start around 0:40 seem to arrive a few frames before the music cues. Was that on purpose?

The LFA also sounds way better when it revs. It's worth it just for the exhaust note and engine sound. No other Japanese car comes close.

Yet, the next affordable non-FWD, attractive 2-door car with decent baseline performance [ready for the aftermarket performance mods which are sure to hit the market soon] is made by SCION?. Who'd have ever imagined that they'd be the ones to bring back the Sport Compact Car? I'm actually impressed. Bravo, Scion. Keep going, Toyota. Where's the Mk. V?

sweet brz commercial!!

Subaru suspension is slightly different. More understeer to resemble the rest of their line-up. Technically though it was Toyota that made the change after subaru was done with the supesnsion. There are obvious styling differences as well, but the suspension difference i would call a reasonable difference between the two cars.

I think Mazda really missed out on this market. For years, people have been asking for what is essentially a "miata coupe." Looks like subaru/toyota understood.

I think they're the same engineering study but one is built with a clean slate (LFA) and one is supposed to resurrect something well-known and already an automotive icon. I said it was. There could be differences as Scion is for North America and Toyota for the rest of thew world. So, there are different standards that have to be met.

It's not about speed but balance in a car. Economic, handles good, looks sporty, low center of gravity, precise and the list goes on. Any idiot can step on the peddle of a horsepower hungry vehicle. Same as any idiot can pull the trigger from any gun. They aren't promoting speed and the AE86 wasn't fast either. Although the car is nice, the price range could be better. The engineers, designers, and project team should get a fat bonus for their tremendous effort and time.

Actually, I already have an M5 and though I agree that they aren't compatible but I still would rather have an M3. While I can afford one, I won't buy one but I will wait until the next one comes out.

Subaru and Toyota not Scion. There are minor interior differences but the Scion I believe is literally the same as the Toyota FT-86 outside of North America.

Awesome. Two pointers for Toyota: 1) We don't need an analog AND digital speedo. Take a hint from the bike makers and ditch the speed dial, no one cares, and you can make it cool and modern with a bigger digital readout. 2) Make way more of these so I don't have wink wink a dealer to get one.

Ive owned the camaro & now my bmw & I want the fr-s because its awesome & fast enough. I have a bad driving record & I don't want a gas guzzling v8 or something that is over the top in cop infested ohio. You want a faster car buy one but after driving it I can say that this car is near perfect. I also wanted the brz because of the 'brand name' more then the fr-s but why spend an extra 5k for an uglier looking grill & a barley there spoiler. I'll upgrade the stereo & be extra happy with the frs!

I thought the LFA was faster, there's a video on youtube that shows it. And the GTR is an engineering masterpiece as well.....that thing can corner like pacman!!!! Plus for the price of the LFA the GTR is much much better. In all honesty the GTR isn't like a muscle car about speed. That was an engineering study aswell.

If the roads near you aren't curvy, you don't have ready access to a track day, and your local SCCA regional chapter sucks, don't buy this car. If you know what a sports car is... get one :D

FRS isn't designed for "speed"

It's def not gonna be the fastest out of the box. My RSX will destroy it Im sure but the RWD and potential, plus it's youth is so awesome

@rsacc4sale1 I don't know how many times I have to tell people like you Subaru and scion built the car together it's the same exact car either way Subaru didn't add more horsepower into the brz than the frs because they are the same the brz has 200hp just like the scion frs has 200hp there is no difference at all besides the badges I have an frs and there are Subaru stamps on it the engine Toyota Subaru boxer 4.5 D on it because the engine is a Subaru boxer with Toyota injectors

You have no idea whatever what you're talking about. It has more power and less weight than the legendary Porsche 944. It's 10 inches shorter, 5 inches lower and weighs 500 pounds less than my 3 series BMW, and has more horsepower. It delivers 90+ of the handling and performance of a Porsche Cayman for 50% of the cost.

lfa nurburgring spec is actually faster than the gtr.

But hundreds of thousands of dollars more? for a car on a similar level with the GTR? No exhaust note could swing me like that.....unless I had unlimited $. Plus from what i read nissan tried to keep the GTR quiet.
