Scion is a brand of vehicles produced by Toyota Motor Corporation for the North American market. Founded in 2002, Scion was introduced at the New York Auto Show to appeal to Generation Y consumers. The first Scion models, the xA hatchback and xB wagon, went on sale in California in 2003, followed by a sports coupe, the tC, and a nationwide U.S. launch in 2004.
A successor to the xA, the xD, premiered in 2008, and the Scion marque expanded to Canada in 2010. Scion currently has five models: the tC, xB, iQ, xD, and the FR-S. The Scion name, meaning the descendant of a family or heir, refers both to the brand's cars and their owners.

What a lot of folks don't realize about the useless back seats is that the fact that this car (and the brz) is technically a four seater drags the insurance cost down.

love how the front seats are non existing when they showed the rear seats. i guess they don't want you to know that it has 0 leg space :P does this count as... false advertising?

There's some slight difference I believe. I think some journalist said the rear suspension setup on the BRZ was a little stiffer. Also BRZ is more rare because subaru's agreement with toyota was that, only for every 10 fr-s's sold, subaru can sell 1 BRZ.

Both the BRZ and FRS base models are only $200 apart now (they jacked up the price), unless you're comparing the base FRS and limited BRZ

The BRZ is around $100 more for a significantly better equipped interior. The issue is that Toyota made a deal with Subaru which allows for one Subaru to be sold for every 10 Scions sold. This, and the strong demand for the Subaru model, creates a ridiculous waiting list for the Subaru. Whereas you can drive out with a Scion the day you decide to buy one. I'd rather wait and get exactly what I want for my $25k though.

It is similar, not the exact same. The BR-Z has more colour options however, and the interior of the BR-Z is (in my opinion) far superior. Unfortunately, that comes at an increased cost. Either car is a solid pick if you want a fun sports car on a budget though.

This cars greatest feature is its low price. you likely ballin on a budget buying this car in the first place, and 5$ a fill up adds up fast. hes just addresin a concern that affects him and a lot of other potential buyers for this car that want a brand new sports car and money plays a heavy factor
