very good vid , surprised to see such honesty. It speaks volumes as to what you represent as a company. I will be purchasing your unit for my ninja 300 and will probably link this video on my review.

Wow that eBay special was really bad. The blue light strip would get you a ticket from the police where I live.

That's a pretty bike you got right there! Looks familiar ;) Loving the smoked integrated! Bright enough to see spots for 30 minutes and the coverage from 90 degrees is great! I saw the difference when I first brought my 300 over for the TST levers video. Glad I made the switch from CustomLED to TST!

Thank you for making this video! I believe you have made a comprehensive and fair assessment of the tail lights in this video and have largely overcome a bias towards your own product. I would like to point out that the Custom LED unit is the ONLY one MADE-IN-THE-USA, which is of huge importance to some consumers, and could have been included in your chart ;-). Also I didn't see any assessment of the turn signal visibility, which I believe should be one of the main performance aspects of an Integrated Tail Light. All in all, Custom LED is proud to serve the motorcycle community with our unique product, and competition does breed quality and excellence across the board.

Jon, your product is really well designed and manufactured, and you definitely have an awesome following by loyal customers. We really appreciate your work because, like you said, competition is very healthy for any industry. You definitely keep us on our toes. Anytime one of our customers asks us for a taillight that we do not manufacture, we always send them to you. The video you commented on was a result of many customer requests for comparisons over the phone or email. So we decided to do shoot a comprehensive video that would better answer their questions. It is true, we did not include a study on the signal brightness in this episode. Maybe we can revisit this topic and shoot another segment. I will have to check if I still have the tail lights here. This will be all from me for now publicly but I invite you to reach out to me personally to chat about business or whatever. Thanks . Bart

Great job doing this video. I have 1 question for you, when it will you guys be creating an integrated tail light replacement for the new 2017 ninja 650?

if we put the relay, the Originals indicators at the front will not be modified?

The entire signaling system is controlled by one signal relay. This component sets the flash rate for all four signals. When you install our relay your front and rear signals will flash at the same rate. This will be 85 cycles per minute if you leave it unaltered, or you can adjust the speed by slipping off the grey cover and turning the small potentiometer on the circuit board.

I am surprised about the brightness of my old Custom LED tail light's peak brightness. Comparing the two lights, the TST one looks brighter in person. As far as the switch goes for the Custom LED, it was an optional extra. It broke after a few months and the strobe function was pretty pointless. With that being said, the TST integrated is the best bang for the buck as far as safety comes

If you were to integrate the graph of the output, our taillight would sum up to more output. The CLED is just slightly brighter at the peak, and the dropoff is pretty significant.

Hey TST industries! So i bought a set of your integrated turn signals for my 2015 yamaha R3 and i was having trouble getting the left turn signal to blink (thought it was a wiring issue + sent pics to TST approx. a month ago and they diagnosed that i needed the Gen2 flash relay which i previously knew i needed so i could slow the flash rate down. so i bought and installed it hoping it was the solution but now the left blinker doesn't want to stop blinking even when I've activated the right blinker, theres a combination of things that i observed that seemed odd so i video recorded them and was hoping you guys at TST could take a look and let me know what you think.. I also have a TST integrated tail light that works beautifully and causes no issues as you can see in the video i recorded. (how should I send you the vids?) If you guys could help me out that'd be amazing! Love your channel and will always be a dedicated consumer. Adam

So why not show how the eBay special reflects? This review seemed more like a bashing of their product. I know the eBay special is crap bu at least be fair

  • @TSTindustries

We show how all the units reflect against the wall at 9:57 and the eBay special is shown in the top right. Additionally, we give it an individual segment showing the reflection at 8:00. As you can (barely) see the light is so dim our cameras weren't able to pick up the light as well as some of the other offerings. Try turning up your screen brightness if possible and you may be able to see the slight red hue emitting from that unit...

TSTindustries I apologize. I stand corrected. You did show it. Apparently my screen brightness was down and I thought the screen was black. My mistake

No worries but that just goes to show just how dim that unit really was. We would never openly bash another product without hard evidence and facts.

That's fine. This video's purpose was not to make you choose us. It was for the purpose of you choosing us IF, and only if your needs were fulfilled by what we provide. Otherwise we would prefer that you go with our competitors that also put research and development into their lights and not just copycats from cheap manufacturing regions of the world. Motodynamic is one of those respected competitors of ours so the video we put together still did its job.
