the 10th A rubicon will be my next wrangler although I want the Anvil color, finding used ones with options I want might be a little tricky but plenty of time not looking till sahara is paid off in 10 months

I bonded with the ‘Pink Jeep’ escapade, while on vacation in Arizona. However, after I purchased the 4 door jeep, I became disenchanted, as there was little, if no warmth in the Jeep, and the rough ride, wore thin, after about 3 months of ownership. So I traded the Jeep Wrangler, for a more comfortable Jeep, but not a Jeep Wrangler. Now I drive a Ford Explorer, with a cornucopia of comfort. Ms

Hi. Great vid. It definitely helps with my decision to either get sport and upgrade with mods or get rubicon. It seems like having those all those upgrades from factory may be cheaper than buying all those mods after purchase. What do you think? Also, have you had any problems with rain leaking inside?

Great review, now you got the best of both worlds The Grand and the Rubi I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I own a 2014 Grand Cherokee overland Diesel and do it it off road, however I want something a bit more capable as I don't go hardcore in the Grand. btw was that bird poo on the front bumper wings?

Thanks Michael! We are pretty excited to own the mix of vehicles that we've been blessed to have. Just remember, the ride in the Wrangler will have much higher NVH (Noise, vibration and harshness) levels than the GC. Also, no that wasn't bird droppings haha. It was dirt that flung up onto the end caps while driving that trails to where I recorded the video.

hazards280 thanks for the tip. Lol ok it just looked like bird droppings! I'm actually from Australia and your first review on the grand caught my attention which eventually lead me to buy the Grand. Keep up the good work.

In your opinion do you think the Sport model JK would do as well of road as the Rubicon ?

+Samuel Farish Hi Samuel! While the sport model JK is still a very capable machine, the Rubicon does offer more capability off road. With the Rubicon having more ground clearance, more aggressive factory tires, Dana 44 Axles (vs 30), electronic sway bar disconnect and finally locking front and rear axles all the components are in place to make the vehicle ready to go off road. NOW, that does not mean you can't change these parts on a sport and make it more capable, the Rubicon simply has a lot of parts from the factory. Typically people view the sport as the entry level JK, with the Sahara being aimed more towards Luxury and finally the Rubicon being the most capable JK.

So I’m looking at 2013 4dr manual unlimited rubicon w/89k miles for $30k. Is that a good price?

Yaj, in today’s auto market that’s a tough one to judge. Prices are up quite a bit, especially so in the used sector. I’d say it depends a bit on if it’s a 10th Anniversary, how well equipped, and overall condition. A 6MT Anvil with a red interior would typically fetch more than a more generic build. As you know, Wranglers hold their value very well, but I’d personally have a hard time spending the 30k. For example, I paid 37k (if I recall correctly) for this JK back in 2015 (ish) and it had 6k miles on it. It was a hell of a deal at the time and I knew that, but it was found at a dealer and non negotiated. That’s not to say the Jeep you’re looking at isn’t worth it, it just depends on if you personally value it’s utility at 30k. At 89k miles you are getting close to the 100k mark where a lot of used buyers set as an upper limit when searching for a new vehicle. Something to consider if you plan to sell in a couple years after you exceed that “golden” number. Bear in mind, the JK (and modern vehicles in general) have no problem running 100k, it’s just an old adage that society hasn’t broken through. Best of luck in your search!

how's the ride such as body roll smoothness compared to the jeep grand Cherokee

Elijah, the ride in the Wrangler is completely different than the one found in the Grand Cherokee. There is much more road feedback in the Wrangler, it's "bouncier" and the road noise is probably 40% higher. We still have the Grand Cherokee and every time I get into it to go for a ride, I'm astonished by how quite it is. However, that doesn't mean the Wrangler is "loud" or uncomfortable. We drove back from Wisconsin (10 hours) and we were perfectly fine and in fact enjoyed the ride. The Grand Cherokee is a luxury SUV so the ride is expected to be plush and quiet. The Wrangler (especially in Rubicon form) is meant for off-road use so the tires, axles and suspension is tuned as such. I hope this answers your question. Take care!

+opjoipopikopp[pl[p[ I actually ended up doing quite a bit to my JK! It now has a 3.5" Suspension Lift, 37" MT/R's, Flat Style Bushwacker Fenders, New Rims and many other things. I'll be posting an update video on my JK very soon! Stay Tuned!
