@@divyanshtiwari3547 first part is BS. Second part could be debatable for Lewis, but not for Seb. Seb won in a lower midfield car before and nearly got podium on 3 occasions and has established himself as a top driver. All of us Indian F1 fans want it to happen so bad but sadly it ain't happening soon because: 1. The govt doesn't support motorsport here 2. F1 charges very hefty amount for organizing a race and it's organiser's job to get the money back through tickets, merch etc. But majority wouldn't want to spend much I guess.

The state govt. classified F1 as an entertainment and not a sport, hence wanted to levy hefty taxes on it, moreover huge customs duty were imposed on all the logistics. While there is a huge huge F1 fan base in India, sadly the mindset of the bureaucrats and Govt. in India still dates back to the stone age. They support mindless gaudy events like IPL but can't even comprehend the potential of a sports event like F1 in India. Naturally the FIA needs not put up with these bullcrapp, so they moved out and I doubt will ever come back.
0:30 even though Vettel was on softs, that straight line speed difference is just astounding.

this is making me cry
I remember when f1 was going to happen in india back in 2013 it was really every where those days even shows were coming on discovery on this Red Bull was doing a lot there were advertisement all over the television, but unfortunately the public didn't show interest in f1 and entertainment tax was also very high to pay the government that's why it failed. But i was very excited at that wish wish i was there in the stands.
If you think of the other perspective, not having an Indian gp is an advantage for Vettel. It won't allow any other person to win in this track other than Vettel. This track was made only for Vettel.

I mean yes, yes it was. RB never came anywhere near challenging Mercedes once until now. He got 2 p2’s in the driver’s championship at Ferrari and probably should’ve won at least one of those years. And he would’ve been pushed out or sidelined by Max, just as Kimi was with Charles. Ferrari was the right choice, he just really needed to win in 2017 or 18, but he couldn’t do it.

So many less sponsors.
I really doubt that any Indian government for that matter has any interest in allowing F1 races at this circuit, be it the Central Govt and State Govt, especially when they termed F1 as entertainment, while giving a clean chit to leagues that have been allowed to blossom over the years. The other issue being the original promoter for BIC getting convicted not just for F1 hosting related matters but other sports as well. Adding to the declining attendance from 2011 to 2013, issues like air pollution were the final nail in the coffin so far as F1 is concerned. It's been a decade since this race happened.
