This vehicle is the very definition of functional design. Every inch of every body panel is designed to work with what this vehicle was made for. Flared fenders and rockers look keep rocks and shrubbery from hitting, damaging or restricting door access. The side moldings protect the flat body panels from deformation upon light impacts. The side vents in the front fenders are intakes allowing for high fording. The rear door is made so that spare tire access occurs opposite of the load area.

Is it me or the exterior is NOT ugly? So many people say that the exterior is ugly but I think that it looks quite cool !

Off-road performance like nothing else, presence like nothing else, aerodynamic like a marble block.

The exterior is amazing, in my opinion!

Have one w460 turbo diesel from 89, very reliable, durable and fun to driven. Have some 4x4s, including LC and Defender from late 90's, the G is the best for off-road though LC is more comfortable for on-road riding, and nothing has the charm as the G does. Seeking W461 turbo diesel from late 90's, but not easy to find one here and the price is crazy (I can get a 2013 rubicon with that price).

HD13POWER there are cup holders, at least one. on the passenger of the g63 there is a fold down one, but im not sure about driver's side

PigPride The passenger side has optional cup holder and I call it a tiny basket can't hold large bottles or even mid size ones. There is two cup holders in the front passenger compartment but those are useless even for Starbucks tall size coffee, you cannot fit them inside it. I own G class SWB and I will keep it although, it is just beautiful even with the stupidity behind it LOL

No one cares about cup holders other than Americans for some strange reason. Maybe gettin stuck on a highway in LA makes u wanting 2 xl drinks available in reach at everytime. We folks in Europe from what Ive seen just wanna drive the thing

Stop complaining, and start hauling ass then. Even if you're 50 by the time you've saved up enough cash for this car.

Yes, this can go places a range rover would have a hard time going. This is cab on frame, with solid axles and lockers. The ranger rover uses a lot of tech to go off road, like the brakes detecting slip and applying stopping power to that wheel. Where the G wagon has a proper 4X4 set up with lockers. In short the ranger rover is more x-over, and the G is more 4x4 truck. Get the G-Wagon.

The G Wagon is so tough! One day I will have one...

For BlueTec in the US to be worth it you would have to have the cars for about 10 years. Thats because it costs more to get BlueTec and Diesel isnt that much less expensive than gasoline
