If you upgrade get the president Ronald for 50 watt power I got mine from bells cb and it does am and fm. Same size as yours

Also for future run power straight to battery on cb radio. It will cut the noise on open squelch way more.

The Voltage is changed by circuitry in the plug adapter itself, granted to avoid alternator noise in his transmission it should be hooked directly to the battery.
