cornell should have won, if jordan wolf had the slightest bit of decency he wouldnt have taken that shot and it couldve been that one goal the other way. such a heartbreaker, even for unc fan

Extra man opportunity means the other team is playing with one or two fewer players on the field since those guys are in the penalty box for usually 30 seconds to a minute for an infraction (e.g., slashing). For most penalties, players get released and the teams are back at equal strength when a goal is scored.
