Good videos! In US those N63 Injectors and Crankcase vent lines are covered by BMW North America extended warranty up to 10 years or 120k miles. So anyone having faulty injectors take your car to to the dealer and get free replacements.

Great video brother! I just purchased one myself and I learned a lot watching this. You’re definitely a good mechanic. Not that many of you out there!

Great video. You actually go step by step without taking anything about from the beginning unlike many other videos posted all over KZread.

All I can say is thank you. I watched all four videos multiple times. Got the tools I thought I would need to tackled this. I only wanted to switch one FI initially to make sure I knew what I was doing and I only have one that is problematic at this time. #5. I changed plugs and coils previously so I was in there a little before. Without this video I would never have been able to do this. Thank you Maic. One important note. If you use a scan tool to change the coding, MAKE SURE you update the software on the device before to attempt the programming. I only have Macs, bought the BMW unit (Foxwell 510), thought I would be okay, caused a big headache. Bought a used laptop for $50, updated the software (took hrs) and then programmed. Took me all of one day with lunch and some work calls mixed in to do the work on the engine.

you have to love these engines. I had a 11" x5 with n63 come in a year ago, not going to tell you which dealer in our area worked on it, car had a very bad misfire which was the original compliant at the dealer. They did the care package where they have you replace both mafs, all 8 injectors, and both pcv tubes. had all 8 spark plugs replaced and then they replaced the timing chains and guides still had the miss. found extreme carbon build up on the intake valves. extended warranty company decided to replace the engine.

The MAF sensor connector on bank 1 is up-side-down because it is the same part number as bank 2. BMW doesn't want to manufacture two different MAF sensors when they could save A LOT of money by manufacturing only one and using it on both sides. Its nice that they did that as well; now parts are cheaper, AND swapping MAFs between banks is an easy test if the part is suspect faulty.

Going through all N63 videos, thanks for upload! My airduct is also loose on the same side and the oil/cooling hoses to and from the turbo are in really bad shape on same side, overheated?...BMW is going through it now trying to find out what's wrong, no misfires though so that's promising. I'm betting it will cost me a shitload no matter what needs changing due to the hours of work needed no matter what you need to do in these engines.

Hey, I have one question. How did you diagnose those injectors? Did you looked at the current waveform or did you only used livedata? I know on bmw´s these injectors are a known problem but I´m wondering how you can 100% identify a injector proble. Thank you for your great videos!!

I'll go with your guess. The customer said to replace only the bad injector because that stuff is expensive. I have a 750Li with the N63 and every repair costs hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

When the car was rough idle was it causing smoke out the tailpipe?

They use the same part number MAF's on the left and right side. That's why one connecter is up and one is down.
