Answer:Usually when this happen its telling you one of your brakes pads wearing out on one of the wheel brake system same thing happened to me on my mdx

There are dozens of possibilities for those same lights to all come on. You need to perform a network scan of all the controllers and review the codes. Any ABS sensor could cause this. The specific code should direct you towards the problem area. The ABS speed sensors are not used for the speedo

@@PhillipBailey ok. I went to my local auto zone and they performed a scan to look for exact code causing the issue but they can’t find the exact issue. What they found was anti-lock brake system 15-1 torque sensor open or short and 16-1 injector control failure. The solution for that according to them is the speed wheels sensor but they don’t know exactly which one.

@hanselldisla4643 you did not specify which computer these codes were pulled from so I'm assuming the AWD controller. 15-1 is a possible problem with the Yaw Rate-Lateral Acceleration sensor or circuit. You need to watch G force and yaw rate data while driving to access, possibly do a Neutral Position Memorization with a proper scan tool. Code 16-1 does not exist but code 16-3 is for a steering angle sensor Neutral Position incorrect. Neither of these codes has anything to do with speed sensors. I'd advise to take it to a reputable shop for proper diagnosis with proper test equipment. Edit... I did find mention of code 16-1 in the VSA controller and that is for a problem with the right rear speed sensor, wiring or magnetic encoder...

@@PhillipBailey hello sir, I have an update about my last comments I don’t know what was going on on my MDX but after having all the same lights you had on I went to my local auto zone for a scan looking for codes and they catch some codes related to the speed sensor but after that all the lights went off and almost two weeks had pass already and they didn’t come back on. I put the computer back on looking for stored codes and nothing they disappeared .

I have an 09 MDX, displaying SH-AWD, ABS and VSA on dash, no CEL. Question, what scan tool are you using? I either take it in or possibly see if I can get my hands on a better scan tool as the one I have does not dig in as deep as yours. Thanks

I'm using a Snap-on Verus Edge tablet but there are lots of capabil scanners that will work. Check out Thinkdiag for cell phone based scan tool

How do you go manually into the ABS.? I have a Launch x431 and I do not see that option available in my scanner

If the ABS controller is not listed on the launch scan tool it may not be able to scan the ABS controller. Try to manually ID the vehicle as one year newer or older see if the module is listed...

Went to dealer, for same lights. And code status 6 cylinder failure.. but dealer service top techs could find NOTHING WRONG! but lights remained on when i drove 2010 acura zdx in. So it was lite up same 3 abs, emission, awd but car ran perfectly fine.. so i told tech what about speed sensor.. he said everything check out fine??? So 2 weeks later lights back on. Only when i back out slowly from garage. Intermittently happens after code is cleared.. but car runs fine!!! Could it be a wheel speed sensor??? How can i find out without code or Diy.. help

There are hundreds of possibilities for the lights to come on but if there is an ECM code that's what's triggering the abs and stability codes. They need to focus on the engine fault.

I think that is the last year of port injection. what a shame. at least toyota is offerring dual port and direct on most its new cars.

There are dozens of possibilities all with the same symptoms. You need to perform a network scan of all controllers with a decent scan tool. That should return a code or codes that will give you further direction. Alternatively you could always do a visual inspection of the wheel speed sensor wires and look for the obvious. Often though the failure is not visible. Check for play in any wheel bearing as well.

I have that now 2010 acura zdx 9/6/2023. Going to dealer.. can i fix this without the dealer.. car drives perfect.. code states 6 cylinder failure but car runs great!! I am sick of of it.. this going to cost me ???

Well that depends on what codes it's generating and what your skills are. Start with a network scan of all controllers.

I have a 2012 Acura MDX when I drive my back wheel stop moving .. The VSA light is on..

If the wheel stops turning stop driving the vehicle! There is a mechanical issue with the brakes or wheel bearing and it is not safe.

A have questions...why my Vsa is no show me in the dash when i push the botton

Need to scan the traction control system for codes and view data in the system. Possibly a faulty switch or circuit, not sure.

it's speed sensor fault, but multi lights on including sh-awd. in this case , is it driving in awd mode or just front wheels?

@@PhillipBailey thanks for quick reply. My 2010 mdx has the same symptoms recently. I haven;t fixed it yet, but checked the fuses, looks fine. I do notice driviation difference when driving uphill/downhill.

This is usually a bad battery or connection to it.

My 2010 Acura mdx sh AWD system back wheel is not working. Any idea on how to fix it. Thank you

Always have to start with a network scan of all controllers. Retrieve codes, record them, clear codes and drive it to see what comes back. You will need a decent scanner not just an OBD reader.

Great info but my story is bit different but I got exactly same three lights and messages shown in video. I have 2012 Acura MDX, 130K mileage, last week three lights appeared and four messages like Check Trailer Stability Assist, check VSA, ABS and SH-AWD. I already faced issues in cold winter when fob key was not opening the door lock sometimes, fob has new battery so I knew there is something inside the car and now in normal temperature sometimes lock was working and sometimes not. I called CAA and person checked the battery and said battery and alternator is good but your battery is 6 years old, normal battery life is 3-5 years so it is your choice to change it now or later. I decided to change it now but after that lights and messages were still present, even I checked after 10 hours in the night and still lights and messages were present. Next day in morning, after 24 hours, when I started then all three lights and four messages gone. I was really happy and now everything is working fine. Even I checked the Acura self diagnosis and it didn't show any error, all were green. It was just a weak battery problem but the messages were scary :).

could you not just cut out the bad section of the wire and splice in a new section of comparable gauge?

A repair of the wires where it flexes with suspension and steering movement won't last long. There are two wires in there twisted around each other

I'm just leaving a comment in case anyone's issue is battery or alternator so that they know to check those just in case. I got the same notifications showing up due to my battery going bad last year and another separate time my alternator gone bad.

You should cut the broken wire and reconect wire, it will be ok 😂

That would be a temporary repair due to the flexing of the cable.
