Here is a quick and simple demonstration / tutorial on how to change out the weak or dead battery in your Subaru key fob. A small screwdriver makes this easier but not mandatory. First step is to remove the mechanical key and then use that to pry the two halves apart. Then replace your dead 1632 battery and put the new one + side facing upward.
