You shouldn't be scared of something you can't control. If anything transpires in 2012 , I'm pretty sure it wont be half as bad as this. This movie was meant to stretch the truth. The movie is awesome and isn't scary in the least. It's humorous, thrilling and leaves you on the edge of your seat for 2 1/2 hours...

even if you don't believe the world's ending in dec of 2012, go for the effects!!! the acting is cheesy at times and it is 2 and a half hours long but its still good!

on the left screen you see the software "3dsmax", on the right screen i'm not sure. could be 3dsmax also, or realflow is another cool tool for making water effects

I understand that the earth is 70% and 30% land, but it doesn't seem possible at all to get a wave of that magnitude over the earth like this. Perhaps a possible flood across most of the land, but not a wave that covers Mount Everest and shit like that.. lol

But yes, something COULD technically happen in 2012 that ends the Earth, but that would be a simple coincidence :P Don't worry though, there's about 1 in 1000000000000000 chance that it will ;)

they need to impliment at least a little real science into the movie! i mean come on!!!! a 7.9 or 8.2 earthquake can not cause such a giant wave that is so enormous. samoa was hit by a small tsunami that killed 200 ppl and the quake was only 8.0

ok great idea for the movie, but really flawed in accuracy. theres NO way an earthquake alone could create a tsunami as large as the one shown hitting D.C. a wave of that height could only be created by a landslide, volcanic eruption...
