2012 Infiniti FX35 AWD Review
Ойын-сауық
My review of the 2012 Infiniti FX35. My review is independent. Just trying to give a buyer's prospective. I do a walkaround, views of the interior, front and back seats, console views, under the hood, and rear area information.

Randkalik, your taste is exquisite and your opinions are always right. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the tip on the welcome lights. That is the Thule Snowcat.
great review ! honest and to the point. good job man iam in the hunt for one of those!
I like your review of the car. Well done!
Great car! One of my favorite cars ever!
Yup. I own a 2009 FX35 and it is not a fulltime 4wd car. Infiniti's awd system routes power to rear wheels for better handling at highway speeds. The snow mode sends power to all wheels at 25% per wheel. I love my car.
I have the same car with 20 inch tires for about 10 months, and there are a mix of things i like and don't like. For those who like Lexus RX for its comfortable and cushy feeling, you may not like this car; but if you are the type who like to drive in a sporty style (read: Fast) and approach curve or features like round-about fast without worrying about tipping over, FX is doing a much better job than the RX. However, for the price of it, i think Infiniti should throw in a bit more.
No issues to speak of. Everything has been good.
keep pressing unlock button 15 secs on remote and windows and sunroof open
i own a fx35 2005 cuz i like that body style better. How is off road capabilities ?
Nice review pointing out some of the not so obvious features. How has reliability been? Any issues to speak of?
Hi Rob , I have a full size SUV Ford Expedition 2012 2*4 It a smooth car with great reliability But I think to change it to Infiniti as you had before , one point make me wonder , when you driven it how is it sound in term of tier sound ? Is it compact or you feel the road ? Thanks
I have a 1st Gen fx35 and I love it.

Nani Santana 2005 and has 183,500 miles
I haven't noticed any problems with the buttons.
I've been getting price quotes for a 2013 fx37 awd.. I've gotten them down to 47k down from 51825. not sure if its a good deal or not
did you even read the brochure?
Another thing, RX is a front wheel drive based (FX is RWD based with ATTESA AWD), which in my opinion, is not a trait that i would put into something that goes head to head against other luxury offers such as FX or Europeans. It makes me think of the Venza when I was driving it....
@DMXOnline1981 I've been up to mountain and it handles the snow very well. I didn't slip or slide around at all. I think it would have to be very icy before the car started slipping. I don't know about any software tweets on the camera. It might be possible.

I just purchased a 2012 I love it my first real SUZ..loln
@DMXOnline1981 I've only used the camera while parking, but you can select either the front or rear view while the car is in D. The rear view is the default when its in R. I'll try it on the highway and let you know.
I do like the RX350. I've sat it in, but I've never driven it. I suspect, that the Infiniti is more performance based, while the RX is more focused on gas mileage. My wife loves the FX, so it won out over the RX.
@DMXOnline1981 It will not go into camera mode on the highway.
cool car
Nice review. What about fuel consumption? was it reasonable?

Requires high octane gas. Its full time awd and drives like a sports car, so it will burn through gas. We no longer have this car, but when we did, we mostly drove it in the city. Got about 13-14 in the city. About 18-20 on the highway, if I remember correctly. But its been a while.

Thanks for your quick response. As an expert what do you think about this car: www.aaaauto.cz/en/infiniti-fx/car.html?id=145728674
Rob, just wondering if you still have your FX35. I'm on my second one and love it. I know Infiniti decided to pull back this car and tried to upgrade the smaller version but this one is my favorite.

We traded it in when the lease expired. My wife and I both loved this car, but we had two kids and we wanted something a little larger. Now we have a Pathfinder and BMW i3. The Pathfinder is fine, but just not as fun.
Do you still have this car?

David, I traded it in when I leased a new Pathfinder. We miss the FX. Really drove great, but we needed more room for kids.

+RGillette2882 Cool. I test drove a 2012 FX35 this morning. The handling was rather stiff. It may have been me not being used to the car. Did you have any problems changing gears or accelerating? Just seemed like a bumpy ride and changing gears didn't seem smooth.

+David Johnson I think it is fair to describe the car as a little stiff in terms of handling and suspension. To me, it drives much more like a sports car than an SUV. I never had any issues with the acceleration or transmission in the FX. It always seemed perfect to me. I think with many Infinities the accelerator can be a little sensitive, but you get used to it.

Cool. Thanks Rob, I appreciate it.
The AWD is not full time
this car is basically next to stripped.
Attessa Awd, is not 4wd. Know your differences!
Infiniti has absolutely lost its way in terms of design. I had a 2006FX35 w/sports package, then got the new model in 2009. It's gone now, because I couldn't stand the design. This model is no better after the refresh. And the 18" rims are horrible looking. Sorry, but Infiniti designers have lost it.
