I don't care what people say. I've always liked these for being different. Screw perfection... you buy something to enjoy it. If you want cargo, get a minivan. Want mileage, get a Prius... want luxury, get a Bentley or something. :)

My 2012 gets the advertised gas mileage and the transmission is perfectly smooth. Zero complaints.

At 3:15, he says: "when you shit into reverse". Has anyone else noticed?

I'd read this half a second ago he said it 🙂 What he also said is q5 in the line of competitors - rx350, x5, q5 (instead of q7).

@MJ4cars97 I think we can get our hands on a Audi Q7 but we've recently reviewed the MDX so we'll have to mash it up with something else.

My 2012 is still in action and drives like a brand new , rock-solid very reliable car that smokes all the V6 rivals in 0-60 fun drags interior materials are way higher in quality than Lexus and still looks impeccable in 2021 unlike the 2013 Lexus my wife has.

I just bought a used fx37 awd, this color. And I absolutely love it. Yes the mpg is a little low but that’s ok. I think it looks amazing even in 2022. It’s not perfect but if it’s faults are important variables to you, this is very hard to beat

You think fx35's direct competitor is rx350? You shouldn't be allowed to review any cars. rx350 and fx arent in same class. rx350 is front wheel drive based suv. fx35 is rear wheel drive based on 350z chasis. fx35's direct competitor is bmw x6, mercedes gle and range rover sports.

I think most people have both of these on the list when they're looking for a midsized luxury SUV. Nobody cares if they're RWD or FWD based lol. Too technical for most people.

Dave is the best auto reviewer out there.

I've never owned a car so raw and prestigious before! Reliability has been fantastic, I really have no complaints 🙏 My ES was fantastic, it just wasn't this haha.

I love Nathan and Roman, but there is something about Dave Erickson's reviews that are annoying. Not enough facts and too equivocal. The Infiniti FX line styling is polarizing to many prospective owners/other drivers. Tell us more details and take a stance. I love Roman and Nathan's reviews. It was disappointing to see Erickson from Everyday driver here...

How dare you compare this to a Lexus soccer mom Rx 350. That's like comparing a Ferrari to a minivan.

IT's direct competitor is the bmw 6 series.

In my opinion it competes with BMW X5 (not X6), Audi Q7, MB ML class, VW Touareg, and Porsche Cayenne (maybe). On the other hand I think that the Range Rover Sport is a little bit overestimated, sure it is a great car, but it does not offer much more than the infinity (not even of-road capabilities - an area in which the guys from Land Rover are quite experienced). :)

I want to hear that lovely 3.5L V6 roar, I didn't.

2012 at 200km (not miles).. Still worth to buy?

If the service records are available, I'd say go for it. My gf bought hers brand new in 2012 and it's still running strong with no serious problems.

Hey guys lest *SHIT* into reverse

Gas mileage is suck. They lie about it. I have 2011, just get about 14.7-15.0 mpg most of the time on HW. And 1 more thing, the transmission is a big problem..hesitating to change the gear. Up to now the MFG can't do anything to fix it. Yes, it is a nice car, well build but tranmission and MPG need to fix IMMEDIATELY.

It competes with the BMW x3 not x5

I love the exhaust note, but the design is just horrible.
