    Want to thank you for this. I found a tutorial on how to fix it with a resistor but was on an older Fusion. I didn't know which wires I needed until your video. In place of the sensor you can just add a 37k ohm resistor between the wires.

    My brother, you're greatly appreciated for doing this. You just forgot to explain HOW you connected the wires to the sensor. What are those white things that the wires seem to be fed into, and how do I know which side of the sensor to put which wire in?.... When I do this fix, do I need to unplug the car battery first, to eliminate risk of shorting something? ..... If I always leave my air conditioner on the highest setting, will it be better than sometimes putting it on low?....everyone else loaded videos of them doing this, but every here between using a radio shack resistor. What's the differently

    You can cut those two wires on the blue harness, and connect the wires from the evap sensor directly to those two wires (purple and gray) coming from underneath the glovebox. Then you can place the evap sensor inside the air vents and you will have a cycling compressor, avoid freezing on your evaporator and the heater and all climate controls will work properly.

    Michael Shane hi! Well.. This type of cars had 2 temperature sensors; the evaporator temperature sensor (like the one showing on the video) And the ambient temperature sensor (this sensor is located by the front bumper) what you have to do is to scan the vehicle to see what sensor is the one acting up. Normally when the scanner show -40 on the ambient sensor is either a broken wire or a bad sensor.

  • @jamesriddle7793
    @jamesriddle77936 жыл бұрын

    Worked like a charm. Used a bwd pt191 connector from o'reilly/advance (kind of a general connector but it squeezes in) and quick splice connectors. As a side note I found that you could possibly get away with just cutting and capping off those 2 wires but I could be wrong. I say that because if you unplug that whole blue harness the ac will get cold but of course it won't do anything else correctly until plugged back in. As long as those 2 wires arent used to run anything else then it would seem that the sensor itself is unnecessary.

    The compressor will not cycle, and the evaporator will freeze, and the air will stop flowing, until you turn off the a/c to manualy cycle the compresor, then the air will slowly come out again.
