This truck is PHENOMINAL! No truck compares to this. I'm not bias for manufactoers so I don't support one brand type. But I test drove this truck and it was so durable. The engine/tranny were the perfect match up. You when you drive a powerful engine, but you feel that the tranny is lagging. The tranny in this truck was very responsive and had no lag time. My only complain was the truck could have had better handling. BUT, it wasn't a big deal. The power, luxury, and quality made up for it.

For one, the 6.2 is SOHC... No pushrods. 2, 2 spark plugs per cylinder is in no way "old tech".

Why is everyone complaining about mpg!! It's a truck! V8'S feel right in a half ton and sound great! Also, why are you complaining about mpg when you're spending that much money for a truck?!

I got a rare model I'm keeping for life. My 2011 F-150 King Ranch super crew cab in the black and tan paint combo with the 6.2 V8 RWD

That funnel under the back seat is for the easy fuel system, if you ever run out of gas and need to put in gas from a can. The easy fuel piece of metal inside locks so the funnel is needed to push open a tab or two inside to open it up for fuel entrance.

Been looking for one of these for months. No go. Went with a 2012 F-250 crew cab. 15-17 mpg on the freeway and 10 around town. The truck you have is rare one to find here in California. Nice review. By chance is this Sofyan? 😊

yes two plugs per cylinder is older tech the hemis have ran them for a while now

the funnel is for putting gas in you capless fuel filler with one of thoes hand held fuel tanks.

with the 2013 F150, the 6.2 is available in every trim from XLT and above. also, it can come with the super cab instead of only the crew cab. problem being, you cant have the 8ft bed with this engine option... however, no ford V8 today sounds as good as the old v8s. such as the 351 and the 429

i kinda feel you on that one....coloumn shifters for trucks is my preference.

I wouldn't care about the poor mileage. V8 all the way! I'm a truck and REAL SUV kind of guy. I would be embarrassed to show up in an f150 and say that "oh....no.... it doesn't have a v8. It's got a Turbo 3.5 v6." Despite the fact the power is similar. Nice tour though, Yours are always my favorite!

absolutely! sometimes I miss seeing new Hondas but Ford has been building more interesting products anyways lol

I know the ecoboost is quicker in straight line speed from what I read, wouldn't be surprised if it beat the 6.2 in towing test as well. I've driven a Nissan Leaf and I actually liked how it drove, never driven the Volt tho, who knows, I may come across one some day lol

whats really the point of ez fuel? the cap takes 3 seconds to take off. and now cars have places that hold the cap. i still like the FX2 ecoboost v6. good mpg for a truck and good looking.

the funnel is incase you need to use a gascan (like thatll satisfy the6.2 lol)

thank you, the frontier is actually my first vehicle, had it since i was 16 and i turn 24 here in a few days. i still get compliments on it every once and a while. the f150 is my dads i figured id make a short exhaust clip lol. i am just curious how well the ecoboost and the 5.0 is in power compared to the 5.4 in his truck.

lol yea I like the Ram's aggressive styling better and I guess I have never been too much of a Ford fan. Besides the Focus I really wouldn't consider buying a Ford. I really like the Tundra's styling but its quality is probably just like all other Toyotas...

Ford detuned it for more torque at a lower rev range so in the process they lost hp, Mustangs have more top end and revs bc its a sports car

The sound and the sheer pull of this motor just does it for me. The EB is powerful and does a lot, but the 6.2 makes it seem kind of wimpy in personality.

ahhhh speaking of interior quality materials...fords are best in class with Chevy being the worst but when you touched the toopof the door, not the arm rest, the quality of that plastic panel has gone up over the last f150 design. jus saying. I kno cause I used to have an 06 f150 and my dad has a 2011 f150... and my 06 was definitely cheaper than my dads '11, not saying its a cheap pice of shit tho... Chevys are by far the worst quality interiors I've ever seen
