We have this exact model in this trim but in the White Platinum Tri-Coat for about 6 months. It's an extremely well built vehicle. The quality of the interior is amazing and a well built/designed standard engine, that actually sounds better in real life. You really have to sit in one and drive it for a week to really know the true beauty of the car. It's soooooo much better than the older model with that horrible 4.0L V6. And the MyFord Touch works very good and ease to use.

I've driven one of these, and they're so smooth and pretty fun to drive actually! I mean it's no sports car but for an SUV it isn't bad at all!

I agree, its kind of hard to buy a Pilot when this explorer is such a gorgeous car with all these premium features. I have a lot of buyers who are trading in their "Toyotas" and "Hondas" for this vehicle

Dude as crazy and long that i had my Ford i never knew and thought something was wrong with the moon roof that didn't open up all the way to the back till you just said it only opens up in the front so thanks for that.

I love the sound of the Rev!! I think I'm gonna buy one! Plus I can customize it, but not the crappy stuff like 36' rims, a ugly paint job, or the stupid raise a lower kit things... I hate it when people ruin their cars.... Like stupid huge rims and ugly paint jobs... I mean just something to make the back seem better.. I love the Explorer. I would NEVER ruin my car!!

Its amazing, when I used to work for Honda I thought the top line Pilot was expensive at 41 grand, but now I do realize that its a good value. Although it is still missing some premium features the explorer offers. Honestly, both are great but it really comes down to your taste, needs, and budget when deciding

@TrucksAndCarsGuy32 I had a 2005 Freestyle and it was ok for the first 3 years but after that it just went down hill with all the problems it got. And some family members had problems with Ford too. My aunt had transmission problems with her 2001 Explorer, and two uncles of mine had transmission problem with an Escape and a Mustang.

If I was to get an explorer (which I can't because my family doesn't have the money) I would get an XLT with the highest upgrade package and the power tailgate and panoramic sunroof. I friends' grandma had one and I love it.

Its amazing how huge some fords have become (Explorer, Taurus) compared to their original forms.

I was looking to buy a honda because people have been telling me about their quality and their reliability and I am not seeing it. My mom owns one its a 2009 pilot and it is constantly in the shop. My dad has a windstar and a Taurus with well over 100,000 miles and have never been in the shop The Fords in my opinion are buch more comfortable and enjoyable to drive and reliable especially the new ones

@Davidsky495 well that's the good part. The bad is that your limited to specific options on the car. You can't get a sunroof, or even upgrade the rims like the Chevy Tahoe and silverados. I get your point though, the base trim is probablity going to be more reliable.

I'm a Honda fan and even I think this Ford far better. Well besides price, seating and reliability.

This speedometer is the way high end sports cars place theirs such as Ferrari, Lamborghini etc. Its so that at zero the needle faces straight down. Its just an easier way when to view speed when paying attention to the road, however because we are not used to this yet, it is a little confusing.

its competitive for the class. Pilot is 17/24, Highlander is 17/22, and Traverse is 16/23. If you get the 2.0T and FWD Explorer its 20/28 or best in the class

it is this vehicle really strong enough my father owned the 2005 i remember he was to reverse it to parks the car and he was doing slow and by accident he hit the wall and we thought it was. a scratch and when we saw the whole bumper was destroyed

Well it depends what you want to get like my next door Neighbars they have a 2013 Ford Explorer Limited in blue with the V6 only thing is they is only FWD but still a nice SUV they love it they had it since March they got it after they mid or late 90,s Chevy Suburban died at the end of Feb on them they oldest son was driveing it then the Transmisson went out it had no R gear anymore then it finny died so after they they got they Ford Explorer they love it it,s been a great SUV for them!

the one thing that ruins ford is the my ford touch its just like the lincoln to turn up the temperature or volume has to use a touch screen or touch button its nice to just have a knob it takes longer to use a touch screen button then a normal button

The Explorer look nicer than flex maybe because the Flex have more older boxer look which i don't like much. Plus I'm only 25 so I like little more stylish going there in my vehicle. Otherwise, I don't need anything that big. I probably get the new 2013 Ford Focus or the Acura TSX.

My mom owns a Honda and it is constantly in the shop with a whole host of problems its only 3 years old and has 60,000 miles. My dad has a ford windstar (1997) with 166,000 which has never been into the shop until recently with electrical problems and a taurus (2000) with 135,000 and has never been in the shop. I think Honda has really been a let down in terms of quality and reliability. I think fords are much better given my experiences .

I think this is almost in the class of BMW x5, MB ml350. Some of its designs are better than the Germans. And price tag is better than German SUVs.
