God, havn't seen a race like that in a while. :)

That was a really great race for a long time .. MMM had really great performance but there was a horse who wanted fight .. All day but there was a winner .. And that was Wise Dan.. He won the race very easily and that shows he will be a extraordinary horse for our time ..

Fort Larned and Mucho Macho Man were by far the best 2 on this day! Down the stretch they had 10 lengths on the rest of the field. More like Game Off Dude for the favorite!

That $5.80 that Mucho Macho Man paid in his 2yo maiden win at Monmouth looks pretty generous at this point.

Well in 2013 mucho macho man won but fort larned was 4th

excellent..even looks more impressive the second time!

I hit the Superfecta by taking the top 3 finishers at the Whitney Handicap this year and then throwing MMM into the mix, and wheeled them!

That call was better than Denman's, who also did his own call. Collmus did a great job imo. Though I have to say, I really miss Durkin's calls. He was the best.

Larry also shows WAY more emotion in his calls than Trevor Denman ever has, and this is coming from someone who really likes Trevor.

Please don't let this be the call of the BC video. Trevor is the best when it comes to world wide calls.

I understand everything your saying and I don't disagree, I just think that Sea the Stars was more versatile, ran against better competition, and didn't need a pace setter. Frankel was great and I really wish they would have ran him the BC mile. I will say that you do seem very knowledgable, where did the book rank Dr. Fager?

What about Lisa Danielle?!! The momma of Successful Dan, who set the track record at a 1 1/16 by defeating Fort Larned and Mucho Macho Man earlier this year at Churchill...and not to mention his half-bro Wise Dan who just easily took the B.C. Mile. That's one special bloodline! No doubt!

Game On Dude needed to be on the lead to win. As if channelling his inner Sutherland, Rafael froze on Game On Dude when he should've been sending him to the lead, regardless of the fractions. There's no better speedy grinder than Game On Dude at 10 furlongs on dirt. If he's allowed to use his speed, he can keep it going all the way to the wire. He nearly won last year's Classic over a closer favoring track, so it's hard to imagine him losing with a similar trip at Santa Anita.

I liked Fort Larned's next race.....he threw his head down at the break and dumped BJH....

Yes! And he continued on to lead all of the horses and won the race without a jockey by several lengths! He loves to run.

Game on dude and schackelford suffered the same fate! I didn't have dude anyway, I crushed the exacta because during the post parade I didntlike the way ron the greek was lookin and I loved the way mucho macho man is a beautiful big ass horse built for many panels of running! I crushed the exacta and had a lot to show on mucho! ( My check mark of the day was 3_5 shot Groupie doll!

One thing I hate most: People who can't appreciate a good horse race and a spectacular effort by TWO very good horses. Not only that, but in FANTASTIC time. GTFO.

I wasn't. I backed FL. I'm glad he won. I hate the way that great horses in the US are called "closers". It is much harder and braver to take the lead and hang in like FL did. MMM was trying to get the drop on FL like a few other horses were. It didn't work this time. It was obvious that the race caller favored MMM also.

Now that I watch this race again , Bejarano ride a terrible race on Game on a Dude.

Can you imagine what Frankel would have done to this field if he was entered?? That's a scary thought...

oo ee Galileo got within 7-8 lengths of Tiznow. Frankels rated 7 lengths better than Galileo. Fort Larned wasn't half the horse Tiznow was.. so you finish off the formula.. :)

+Lee SOG Sahkee and TizNow Beat Galileo by 10-11 lenghts in Classic.. Galileo Failed to Fire because Like Frankel He Faced Weak fields With No Pressure... Which is why Fort Larned Won with a Lonely lead but then Folded with the Pressure the Following year. Just sayin

+Lee SOG Fort Larned went 1:10, while TizNows went in 1:11 and He wasnt on the lead so it doesnt really add Up in my opinion?

I Thought Sea The Stars and Frankel should have Won the Classic! Since there was Weak fields during there Time.. But Guess they weren't Too confident in them

wasn't the greatest race in the world. Thought Alpha was going to upset. Whole day wasn't lost as I won the contest at OffTrackBettingcom and got great rebates

One thing I hate most: People who over value two horses that were running in a weak field. This will not go down in history as being one of the great Classics, no chance. Also, I hate people who feel the need to use acronyms and type in caps to try to make their opinion somehow more important. It doesn't change the fact that this years BC championships were not one of the great ones.

Why is it a horrible call? Give some constructive criticism when making such a claim. Is it only bad because it's not who you're used to? What? To me, Larry did a GREAT job.

Where is the best horse on the planet of this distance? We are Germans are really unable to do anything!

Whip-happy bunch, these jockeys, aren't they? Don't they have legs?

Average race... average winner... definitely not a classic... but not all the classics can be great.

Lamentable edition

Close race... and one of the most boring Breeder's Cup Classics I've seen for a while... heart of a champion? There were no champions, or outstanding horses in this race.. yeah it was close, but those two are not going to be remembered.. the whole BC championships over the two days were totally underwhelming.
