What a symphony and what elegance from the sound of this inline 6. Awesome.
Owned one of these for 2 years, miss it greatly and would love to have another someday. Wonderful vehicles to drive, exceptionally comfortable and quiet, and 25 mpg highway at 80 mph. There isn’t a lot to not like about an E70 X5d.

Best review ever no dumb music or mindless chatter! I wish they could all be this way. A specs list in the description would have been the icing on the cake although it can be easily googled. Thank you.

So beautiful sound and powerful engine of BMW X5!
Me sorprendió la cantidad de ruidos en su andar, supongo que a veces no envejecen bien sus accesorios plásticos... excelente vídeo como siempre! Gracias y saludos desde chile (me encanto el motor)
WOW! This is one of the nicest diesels I've heard in awhile. Great video! :-D
Have had my Vermillion Red X5 for couple of years now. Love it! Road MPG Avg 23-25 @70-75mph.
The BMW X5 is such a good car that is so good that I enjoyed it so much.
Favorite car of all time. Will get it someday
Love this X5 model more vids plz
Those E70 Diesels are just awesome driven a couple of those. The Diesel engine is the one to get. Even though they can have egr problems. The Diesel just seems to suit that truck so well. Especially if you do some long drives or tow. I will have to get one as a daily down the road. Just keep in mind I dont own one yet because maintenance is not cheap. Thanks for sharing, and as always great driving.

amazing video brother
Lower tailgate needs a harder slam and then the close button will work for the top gate
This was a great video to watch. My husband and I bought a small hybrid travel trailer because we, and our grown son, do a lot of volunteer disaster relief work and need a place to stay where we can feel safe (stupid covid) but also to have some privacy at the end of a long day of roofing and mold removal, which is hard to get when staying with people, though that's nice too...anyway...the car we have right now is a diesel Cruz, which does tow a small work trailer to bring gear, but of course not an rv type trailer. We have to pick up the trailer next week and our old truck decided to give us some trouble. My husband found a 2012 'BMW x5 xdrive 35D with under 60,000 miles in beautiful condition and seems to have all the add ons inside that wed never be able to afford. So we'll have to get it before the long drive to get the trailer...sorry, I'm nervous so I babble even more then normal...so he just pulled the trigger with a deposit and we'll get in soon...but though I'm excited, especially to have something safe to drive and tow our little trailer, but I also feel sick to my stomach, just from buying something big. Our payment won't be much more them our cruz payment so thats good otherwise wouldn't happen So I'm happy to hear so many that love them!! I'm not sure how to use that big one button for everything thing, but guess we'll figure it out. We're not fancy people so I feel embarrassingly fancy in this, but we looked at trucks and different things, knew we wanted diesel, and this price couldn't just pass it up. I'm not sure how to play music I want, guess we'll see when we get it...I guess hook it to my super super old ipod to have a lot for our big drive. I am excited, also sick to my stomach 🤢😬 just a big purchase so that fear sets in. We wrote an magazine review article on one years back, so I know they're great...its just the big purchase thing..at least they're giving us a great price for our Cruz so that helps. So amy tips on how to use it ...music or whatever, anything to make it easy and fun, I'm all ears and appreciate these comments already!! Thanks so much...sorry for the nervous babble🙄😳😬

I could never afford the repair bills on these, so this video is the only window I'll ever see into this experience. I still appreciate it though.
@7477238
3 жыл бұрын
The repair bills aren't bad just as long as you are proactive with your maintenance, do part replacements by yourself or by using an independent auto shop that works on German vehicles. With these diesels there are kits to delete all of the EGR, DPF and DEF systems to add reliability.
I LOVE
That look nice

Oh that Diesel 🤩
Too much wind and road noise on the highway, and there were crackling sounds specially when opening the cop holder. Engine seemed loud to me.
@amtrakatl
3 жыл бұрын
It’s because it’s a diesel. Diesels are louder however it’s a good price to pay considering you get more power and better fuel milage.
Didn't know you guys had this diesel engine sold there. It seems to actually be a 30d though, by the specs. Don't know why they named it 35d.

The D denotes the twin turbo model with 235 Kws , 315 hp ! Mine has the advantage of the head up display for speed and navigation !
I used to have a 2016 one and I had for about 5 years within the warranty range because it go into service so much and without warranty I have to spend so much money to repair so I sold it but I love it a lot For the repair they estimate 7k+ while I trade in the car for like 5k one day I start the car the engine sign turn of and I was like I need to sold it today right now or else the light went on again
You are walking around the car like if I downloaded in gta san andreas a car mod, and I'm reviewing it
Which is the Best? Im looking for 3.0 diesel engine... e70 or w164 or q7?

It's a naming scheme in order to make people buy the car, thinking it's higher end. They did the same thing with the 3 and X3, naming it 28d instead of 20d. Buyers in North America are generally not as technically inclined as in European territories.

People keep saying that BMW’s are unreliable but really after all those miles it’s much more reliable than our 2018 Mazda CX-9 gt. Since we have put 45000 miles on it we maintenance it every 7500 miles but the screen and electronic parts started going out after less than a year like the middle screen and the car losing power when driving and just shutting down all power off the accelerator. Must be a lemon or just have some faulty parts.
