You can blame Ted Thompson for not bringing back Cullen Jenkins. Guy wasn't elite but he was very good and their pass rush went to hell after he left. Defensive backs can only cover for so long. If the Packers have even an average defense that year, say 15th, they go undefeated and nobody even challenges them.

Thank you for this upload. This game was the first and only time I got to go to Lambeau and watch the Packers in person. I remember being upset I wouldn't see Rodgers, Matthews, and Woodson. The Packers might not have been playing for an undefeated regular season like I hoped they would, but this was truly one of the greatest Packers/Lions games ever played. I remember leaving the game thrilled.

What awful awful weather this day. Ugly, wet snow before the game, high winds made driving in from Madison very difficult. Then, my wife fell asleep in the stands and I left early! When they say Hundley wasn't ready to play last year, he was as ready as he could get. Matt Flynn's readiness was just way way way better. This is one of the greatest qb performances in Packers history, if not the best.

Lions got screwed a few times in this game. @45:27 clearly a catch and down situation but the refs let the play continue forcing Detroit to use a challenge. Although the challenge was successful this would play a huge part in the game later on. @59:18 the ball carrier was clearly down, again forcing Detroit to challenge the ruling on the field of a fumble. The video clearly showed the runner down yet they get the call wrong and now the Lions can't challenge again. @1:05:54 Titus Young clearly gets two feet down in the endzone yet the bitch ass refs rule him out of bounds. But alas, the Lions can't challenge because the refs botched the previous review basically stealing 7 points away from Detroit. @2:28:00 a clear fumble by Jordy Nelson recovered by Detroit nullified by an unknown force.

how many times have teams who secured the bye rested key players in week 17 only to go out in the divisional round? Titans 2008, Packers 2011, Cowboys 2016, Ravens 2019. Offense is all about rhythm and three weeks without competitive play can be a killer.

THIS is the game; that made Matt Flynn rich! What a lucky guy. His 2007 LSU won a national championship FULL of luck and OT wins (and losses) and only a 6.7 Yards per attempt passing. Some of the 2007 insanity can be found here kzread.info/head/PLbGLzzomCfA4NmrNl0QUmivJxrJ-PvgW9 7th round pick, his contract expires after this season....BUT Then he played this game. With a career 10.6 Yards Per Attempt Gets signed for millions to 2012 Seahawks and gets lucky again that Russel Wilson beat him out so he didn't get to lose his reputation by being bad during NFL games. That had to wait for 2013 Tampa. Matt Flynn is an inspiration for White Privilege at QB; you can be half as good as nonwhite people who do your job and won't get a chance! Get paid! Win titles! Never forget that American Capitalism is a Meritocracy Gentlemen; be proud and lets show those 3rd world fucks how it's done.

Man, that second challenge looked pretty close on the last replay angle that they showed. With the ruling on the field being Packers ball, I think that angle saved them from overturning the call on the field. As for the Titus Young TD, that call was a ridiculous robbery. It's clear in real-time that he got his feet down. They should have called it a TD and then reviewed it as a scoring play to be safe. I remember being at this game and everyone in the stadium knew the Lions got robbed on that one. Even myself and the other Packers fans I was with. Either way, this was an excellent game and one of my all-time favorites. Certainly not without moments of poor refereeing, though.

@@AdamEllis33 The second challenge (fumble) clearly shows posession until he is slammed to the ground where the ball then pops out. The packer player has his arms wrapped around him, nowhere near the ball and didn't tackle him with enough force to jar the ball loose. The ground clearly caused the fumble and should've been detroit ball.

And they thought they could end a 20 yr losing streak in Green Bay? You have to throw a decent pass first, and then you need someone to catch it, and it even helps to have a kicker who can make a 9 yd. FG. If you don't have reasonable FUNDAMENTAL skills, you ain't winning jack. Seriously, this team doesn't get it, never have, never will.

@@hattershouse710 Lions got screwed when the catch in the end zone was dropped, when the 9 yd. field goal was missed, and all the senseless penalties they made. The refs are blind, paid off (every game) by Green Bay, and an earthquake shifted the goal line to cause his foot not be inbounds on that catch. It is ALWAYS someone else's fault, according to the whiney fans, when Detroit loses. Learn how to catch, how to land, and stop cheating, this would have been a blowout by Detroit. But they never learn the basics well enough to win.

  • @hattershouse710

    h. lloyd First of all not every game the Lions lose is because of the refs but this one clearly is. No team plays a perfect football game mistakes are made every single time however when the referees blatantly missed calls especially when replay is available that’s inexcusable. Those type of calls literally change the momentum of a game and that’s exactly what happened in this case. Did you not see Titus young catch a touchdown with 2 feet in bounds and it was taken away? Did you not see the muffed punt recovered by Detroit that was taken away? Bad calls caused Detroit to have to use two timeouts for no reason to challenge these plays that the booth got wrong. That puts them at a disadvantage due to incompetent refereeing. They are literally taking points away from the Lions. It’s one thing to have to beat Green Bay in Green Bay but when you have to play against the referees it takes it to a whole new level. Don’t get me wrong I blame the Lions when it’s their fault but this is clearly not their fault plain and simple.
