2011 Kawasaki Concours 14: Coolant Flush and Fill

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

You don’t have to do a full flush unless you suspect or observe rust, scale or lime in the coolant.
Otherwise a simple coolant change is recommended every 3 years or 24k miles - whichever comes first.
*IMPORTANT* Always allow the bike to cool before draining the system!
Prerequisites:
1) Place bike on center stand
2) Remove the Top, Middle and Bottom Fairings (Left & Right)
Tools I used:
Ratchet (3/8" Drive)

10mm Socket (3/8" Drive)
Phillips Screwdriver
Small Bucket and Funnel
Non-permanent (Blue) Threadlock
Fluids:

Prestone Total Cooling System Cleaner
2 Gallons Distilled Water

Nicely done. Makes a change to see people flushing well. I use 50/50 white vinegar and distilled water to flush. Works a treat. Great for descaling kettles too. 🇬🇧👍

Thank you! Spark Plugs were replaced at 53,440 - not sure if the previous owner replaced them.
