Just a quick video showing how to replace the rear brake pads on a 2011 Honda Pilot. I also show how to remove and replace the rotor/drum combo if you need to change your rotors as well. This is the Same as many other Honda Models.
Tools Needed:
Large Screwdriver or pry bar
12mm Socket and Ratchet or breaker bar
17 mm Socket and breaker bar or impact wrench
Torque Wrench
Brake Grease (Do not use Petroleum based grease)
Wire Brush or wheel (wear safety glasses)
Torque spec I found online for the small caliper slide pin bolts is 27 ft lbs
Torque spec I found online for the caliper bracket bolts is 65 ft lbs
Here's a video I made of the front brake pads & rotors on this same vehicle: • 2011 HONDA PILOT - HOW...

I would never use thread lock on those bolts...they are usually a bitch to get off and I've never come across a loose one.

Thanks for the video !.!. Can you use the caliper grease on the front pins as well or would this be only for the rear caliper pins ?.

It’s ok to use it for the front pins and contact points too. Just be careful to not get any on the friction Surface of the pads or the rotor. Thanks for watching! -Dan the Fix it Man

I noticed you used this Versachem 26080 Synthetic Caliper Grease for this Rear Brake Pad replacement video. But you used a different grease for your Front Brake Pad replacement video. So do I need to buy both grease versions for front and rear calipers?

No, either one will work fine for the front and back slide pins. The videos were a few years apart and I had changed the brand that I was using. Thanks for watching! -Dan the Fix it Man

So I don't need to open the Brake fluid Cap under the hood when I flush the pistons for front and rear brakes?

No, I don't think it's necessary if you're just pushing the pistons back into the caliper. I don't open the cap unless I need to add or remove fluid, unless the master cylinder reservoir is very difficult to see through to determine the correct fluid level.
