2010 Toyota Camry SE third party auction rebuild part 2: The finished product!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Camry returns from paint and we put it back together. The detail guy took this one really well. Once all the garbage was thrown out it wasn't really that bad. We will get rid of the air bag light that is common on Toyotas with no parts in about 5 minutes. It sold in a matter of hours.

    Good morning Scott, really nice looking used car. That will make whoever bought it a great car. You serviced it to way better than most used car dealers. I liked your explanation of the airbag procedure. Once again the fact that I am so electronically challenged, I am fascinated by your skill. Thanks for another Friday afternoon video, I always enjoy them. You take care and have a good weekend.

    Thanks, this one actually was purchased at the end of my driveway and ended up going to Ohio. The guy bought it for his parents. It is a common problem/fix on Toyotas so maybe it will save you a trip to the dealer in the future. Thanks for watching, have a great week!

    My kinda flip, gone in 18 hours. you have to like that. Looked like she went pretty smooth, I dont usual;y go near cars and vans just because their resale value in my area isnt too great, and lots of people doing them, but that goes back to knowing the market in your area for the type year make and model of vehicle you want to flip and what the price range is, you know what it was for the Toyota and I doubt you would have even gone near it if the return wouldnt have been worth your time, and thats what counts is the return on your time and investment. Didnt know Toyota's could relearn those body codes for the seats, thats interesting to know and the relearn procedure wasnt too difficult, always a good thing to note for down the road cause you never know when that knowledge may be useful. Now on to the next flip!

    This has quickly become one of my favorite channels on YT. It's nice to see someone committed to doing the work right, and also willing to share what they know. A big thing I take away is you always seem to know what you're buying. Some "rebuild" channels seem to buy stuff without understanding the extent of the damage, and end up making videos explaining why they can't fix what they bought.

  • @vehcor

    @vehcor

    5 жыл бұрын

    Good to hear! I was lucky enough to work along side some very talented people when I was young. Now with modern technology, this is the next best way to share what I learned. I have done over 1000 rebuilds personally and they are always worse than you think but everything is repairable. If you didn't plan for the extras, it might not be profitable though. I do take risks when I buy but I plan for the unseen so they are usually covered. The "Mistake" pushed my limit at first but I always had a profitable exit strategy if all else failed. I over-figure costs and under-figure values to leave myself a very comfortable cushion so every build can be profitable. Thanks for the support!

    Another great video. One of out estimators bought a 2010 Camry builder for his son’s first car, it’s been a fun little shop project. Great cars and pretty easy to work on. Being that we’re a Lexus dealer shop, every car gets a pre scan, and a post scan and a seat cal before it leaves. We’ve had to fight some ins co’s that don’t want to pay for them, but Toyota requires that we do it. Way to fix em right! 👍🏼

  • @vehcor

    @vehcor

    Even though Lexus is just a fancy Toyota, the Toyotas are still easier to work on. I guess the same holds true with most manufacturers though. I wish I could get more of these but people like them so the prices are a little higher than I would like to buy them for. Every once in a while you get lucky though. Good to hear there are some shops that do it right. I see so many nightmares these days.

    You would be surprised how a spray bottle of water and the vac at the car wash can get the interior looking like new. Just a light mist and vacuum as you go.

    Hey, watch your language! Big words hurt my little brain. 😂 More boring cars, bad jokes and hopefully a little knowledge. I'm going to put together the time lapse of the mistake. I filmed it so why waste the footage? I no longer like editing those after doing these but it will give you guys a chance to see some stuff that the real time videos don't show! Thanks for watching!
