Just tried this today. I got the front bolt out fine. Could not get to the back one at all...got about 6 turns on it and that was it...hit the heat shield. Put the front one back in and made an appointment at the garage to have it done.

Andrew, get a ratcheting wrench set and you will be able to get that bolt out. It is a pain but it can be done. CAUTION,,,,,if you are changing these because of some front end noise beware that this may not be your issue. I did this job for nothing basically. For some reason this van likes sway bar stabilizer links, eats them up. They are easier to change imo, get the Moog brand. Good luck.

vinceleto I used a ratcheting closed end wrench. I was able to get the front bolt out, and the back one turned out 6 or so turns...the froze up. I was hitting the heat shield too, so I bent it out of the way, and it still wouldn’t move. I do think this is what is causing the noise. I can see there is a 16th inch gap between the bushing and the bar. I just put new struts and sway bar links a couple of week ago, and I used good parts (Monroe struts and Moog links). I think the bushings are about all that is left that could be causing the noise. I hope that is all it is anyway.

@@andrewerb6121 remove the heat shield with two 10mm bolts. that may help with getting to the bolts. also, remove one (or two) bolts of the power steering line, that allows for some flex of the line in the way...
