I have had this issue since I bought mine, just dealt with it by pulling fuse #99 to reset the system every time. Thanks for showing how to actually test it, looks like I need to break down and get an ISTA cable.

Great diagnostic video. I have nearly identical symptoms as shown in the video however my motors wont move the trunk lid at all. I get no motion whatsoever, even through ista. Im assuming that due to the hall sensor failure left side, the system wont even engage. Again, great content here!

Mine has a similar problem, it occasionally starts working but mostly won't. The tools used to diagnose seems out the reach of the occasional user, is there a video of how to reach the cable hardness to check for loose cables?

what if lift gate pops back open or just pops open unexpectedly.. F01 chassis... issue happened saturday and been going on since then

Hi I used ista but the "Hit List" under Service plan is empty do u know what's wrong with this?

Thanks for the video. Mine stopped working, thought the shocks are the problem, but discovered that the trunk seal leaked in bunch of water and the trunk module got soaking wet. Replaced the trunk gasket($90) (the big one that goes all around), replaced the module from a good used one from ebay ($200), removed the 3 fuses that go in the trunk (#99,121,135) let it reset for couple of minutes, put the fuses back and everything is working. No calibration needed.

Thanks for the information. When you pulled fuses #99,121,135, did you start the car or did you pull them for a few minutes with the car shutoff?

What program are you using?

Mine doesn’t even open all the way, just unlocks and I manually have to lift it. When I press the button, I hear a ticking sound.

One question...why did the lift gate close when actuated from the scan tool? Seems like it should have failed as well. Also I can remove a fuse from the module and put it back and lift gate will close once with the button, but no more until I remove the fuse again.

Simple one to check before all this... My one would open but not close. Check the lower tailgate is properly shut... if it isnt it wont auto close

After installing the struts during closing ,the door is not completely getting closed Even after the electric strut is completely compressed 5 cm space is still remains even after closing the struts Plz suggest me Do I need to modify or do something.
