I used three of your videos (removing 3rd row seat, removing rear speaker trim side panel and Auxbeam 8 Gang Switch Panel to install a 4 AWG cable from the battery to the rear cargo area. I’m doing this to hook up a 12/24V converter to charge my Ecoflow Power Station. This was a huge help to make the install unseen and clean!

i didn't do the floor. It was just a tutorial on how to remove the seats. I put the seats back after the video was complete.

Cedric, there are plenty of really good content on offroading and overlanding sites for the GX that covers a good portion of those types of accessorizing. Unfortunately, my SUV won't see a speck of dirt in its lifetime unless its at the mall.

Great video, have you noticed any improvement in MPG? Even .5 of an improvement would make this mod worth it to me. It's about 100lb of unused weight and if it helps even slightly ill do this. Thanks man.

Well….A better plan would be to remove the spare tire. When was the last time you changed out a flat tire versus calling a tow truck.

How long did the whole process of removing your third-row seats take?

OH good lord. I did this a while back. The thing is i did quite a few stop and go for editing purposes. The entire shot took an entire day. If i were to tackle this straight through, I'd say it took 45 minutes.

is there any cargo mat can perfectly fit the trunk after removing the 3rd row seat?

If you remove the 3rd row seats, the map of your rear cargo area still remains the same so i'm not sure what you're asking that a typical Husky or Weathertech cargo mat can't perfectly sit in. Unless you're referring to the bathtub condition you just created my leaving sunken in 3rd row seats out permanently, then the answer is no. That's something you're going to have to customize yourself.

Do you need to remove both seats, or are they completely independent of one another so you can remove one and leave one?

People convert the rear area for storage and cutsom retrofit for overlanding. Also it helps when you need to take your rear quarter panels off to add sound dampening material for rear speakers. Its also in the event that you need to reupholster your seats for rips and tears...etc.

Yes they do, all the mount points are the same. The only difference is the addition of the motor and you'd have to unplug the wire harness leading up to it. Sorry i can't really show you but its pretty straight forward once you get thru the basics of removing using this tutorial.

@@GXBOB awesome. Thanks! I’m Removing them tomorrow to run 8 gauge to the back for a power panel. Installing the power plugs (cigarette + USB/Voltmeter, + powerwerx powerpole outlets) on the jack access door with powerpole connector for quick disconnect of the panel if I need jack.

i've put the rear seats back in my vehicle. It was just done for the purpose of making a how-to video.

True but if you removed them, you'd recover an additional 5 to 6 inches of depth and save a ton of weight if you removed both middle and 3rd row for the purpose if customizing storage compartments.

What the.....you should have someone sit back there while u drive 80mph so u can pinpoint exactly where the rattle is coming from.

@@GXBOB I ended up taking my 3rd row out of the car and still made same noise. So I had my buddy drive my car while I was in the back chasing where its coming from and it was my driver side fender liner that is covering the fuel filling neck. While the 3rd row is out I am going to throw some sound deadening material on as well.
