2009 Viper ACR - The Best Looking Car I've Owned

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Too bad its road manners weren't very good. Its such a love hate relationship with this car, would love to have it in the garage, it would just end up killing me one day. I sold this car after only 2 years of ownership. The way it tracks on the highway and requires two hands at all times makes it less fun to drive, but damn is it a sexy bitch!

The 09-10 ACRs in my opinion are the best. They don't have all of the interior electronics that the current-gen vipers have. Steam gauges, simplicity and it reminds me of when i was a little kid looking at a viper and thinking about how cool they are. Just wish I could afford one ;)

When I first bought my 2009 Viper I had the same issue, it would literally jump lanes. I didn't have an ACR, just the "regular" version. I had the alignment changed and it was much better. Too bad you sold it, they're amazing.

  • @theblackstig3808

I own a 2009 ACR. Awesome car. The price/performance is ridiculous. Agree with almost everything you said. I don't agree with your comments about the effort to drive and street manners. Stiff absolutely. My car handles like a dream. Great steering feedback. The car goes where you point it. And on the track wow, it is a beast. It does need a proper alignment. As you said, the car doesn't really need any modifications from factory. The few things I would change are the exhaust, as you said, and the final drive. The factory 3.07 final drive is way too tall. 3.55 would be much better.

@ superspeed Rob, been in love with the Viper since it's creation, it's an awesome super car straight off of the assembly line. The only Dodge product that's worth a damn. Took one for a test drv yrs n yrs ago @ a dealership in MD.. took 5 yrs off of my life in 6 blocks, but it was well worth that 1 time experience. Practical no, but necessary on Sundays here in Fl.. The Viper has that command presence and stance, strictly made to shyt n git... you're right when you said "that rear view presence" ppl will move outta the way when "Venom" is present. Truly enjoy your vids, it's a unique and enjoyable experience for me to watch with coffee & the wife.

I always loved the Viper, and this one just looks amazing! I'd love to own one, but i think i would get annoyed at the fuel stops all the time, even if i was rich enough to not care for the fuel cost. I know someone that borrowed a Viper for a weekend, and he said he had to stop at every 2nd gas station or something silly. That car was fitted with twin turbo kit though, but stil. It looks and sounds better than the GT3, but i still think id pick the GT3. I've worked as a Porsche mechanic, and they are really good cars, great to drive too.

My man you have the best model viper, best looking and best performing. If I could get a viper, it would have to be this or the 08 srt acr. Believe it or not these are great drag racing cars if you know how to modulate the throttle and quick shift. This model is known for having the best traction. Beautiful car mate. The only other car that could sway me from this would be a 03 nsx with the pop up light delete. I might have to flip a coin to choose. I'd feel guilty after I made my choice regardless of the car 😄

Viper fact: Gen. 4 (2008'-2010'). Stock top speed Hardtop is 202! Convertible top up-201, down 200. The best Gen. choice for the VIPER. Look at Wiki. over 80+ upgrade/changes from previous generation. Carroll Shelby wanted the viper to be/look as close to the 60's cobra and I believe they accomplished that with the Convertible Gen.4. Not to mention they're among the rarest and appreciating like no other. Weight 3,250. And Viper gives their H.P. rating at the rear wheels.....all 600 of em'. Then there's the torque............
