Configurations
The 2009 Toyota RAV4 crossover SUV is available in three configuration levels: Base model, Sport, and Limited. Seating for five is standard. An optional third row on the Entry-level model and Limited configuration levels raises the seating capacity to seven people.
Engines
The 2009 Toyota RAV4 Limited comes standard with an updated 2.5-liter four-cylinder that provides a healthy 179 horsepower. A four-speed automatic transmission is standard. Optional on all model levels and combined to a five-speed automatic transmission is a 3.5-liter V6 that produces an impressive 269 hp.
Safety
Antilock disc brakes, stability control, traction control, active front headrests, front-seat side airbags and full-size side curtain airbags are standard on each 2009 Toyota RAV4. Vehicles equipped with the V6 and/or the discretionary third-row seats also include hill-start help and downhill assist control.

wow this is a way better one then mine i dont have heated seats or buttons on the steering wheel but GREAT review!!!
We average very close to 29 mpg with our 2009 2.5 liter four cylinder RAV4 with FWD. The only negative we've noticed is that the transmission seems to run hot so we drain an fill the ATF at least once a year.
Whats that empty tank drivers side in the engine?
Just bought this exact same one but with a V6 yesterday! Pocket Rocket!

I bet it does go pretty good with the V6. I can tell you that the 4-cyl is cantankerous sounding
Does the limited come standard with the towing package?
Hi! Do all Toyota RAV4 2009 come with automatic transmission or do they also have manual transmission ?
JUST BOUGHT ONE last week but. I can not figure out what engine mine has (in South Africa). The seller claim the 2009 RAV4 2VX manual has only the 2 liter engine and not 2.5l as you claim . (engine nu is 1AZH361461) Any ideas ?
I can live with paint issues . Cant live with engine or electric issues
Does the toyota Rav 4 2009 have the same oil consumption problems that plagues the 2006-2008 rav 4?

Watch your tone. They didn't bring the diesel to the US and that's where I am. I am only going to talk about what I know.
