2009 Audi S5 Cooling Fan, Cooling Fan Module location, Cooling Fan Stuck on, Radiator Fan Always on.
The driver side fan on this vehicle stays on as soon as you turn the ignition on, and also stays on for about 10 minutes after the ignition turns off, As you can see the fan module mother board was fried, I did confirm the ECU command to the fan, fuses, relays and etc checked good.

Mine has gone out as well (2010 v8 manual), and it stays on abt an hr after I turn the car off, which has drained my battery to dead before. Guess it’s time to dump some more $ into this German piece of metal.

Hello, thank you very much for the video, my issue is that the fan is on at full speed upon contact. Turn off after switch off but im afraid the fan will die out if its always at full speed. Long story short, i went to change spark plugs snd engine grips. Come to find out the fan is far too strong. The mechanic is saying his work has nothing to do with the fan and perhaps when unplugging snd replugging the battery something might have hit the fan. Any possible simpler solutions?

I have a code in my 09 audi s5 (control module 2 for cooling fan defective). Could I just buy the module or should I buy a whole new fan with module already??

My condenser fan continues to run. What can I test to find out if it’s the module or another sensor? I have access to some information but there is nothing I can find to run a test or a TSB or anything!

I was able to do the job without draining any fluid, you might loose some coolant when removing the breather hose between radiator and coolant can , just make sure to top off all fluids when done, Good luck!

This was awhile ago, but there are many signs of bad fan, in this video the fan use to stay on for about 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off and since there is a fan module is part of the fan assembly I knew based on my experience that the module shorted inside and this exactly what it was.
