    Just a quick tip when applying grease to bolts. If the bolt is going into a blind hole, you dont want any blobs of grease on the end of the bolt. The grease may well fill the hole and hydraulically lock the bolt which could result in damage trying to get it all the way home.

    Do not put grease on all bolts. Previous comments are correct. Could result in problems/damage. Do not put a new spark plug into a sooty, blackened hole. Use pipe cleaners or any non abrasive medium to clean out the burned material.

    This is a brilliant video - thanks. The right amount of FOMO, clear commentary, dubbed when necessary in to avoid background noise., and no unnecessary "continuity music", It has to be one of the best I've seen - certainly helped me effortlessly and without stress, service my 2008 Suzie 2.5. The only query I have - yours has a good tell tale flow, mine has only the 2 fluffy jets and no main telltail. This apparently is quite normal on some models (stripped down chart says that the tube isn't applicable to this model???). Any comments on that pls?

  • @dp47280

    @dp47280

    4 жыл бұрын

    It’s good to hear that you liked this video. Regarding the lacking main jet- if it doesn’t have it then there’s no need to worry. I imagine the ‘fluffy jets you mention are the exhaust and as long as there is bits of water coming out then I would suggest you have circulation. Is the main jet definitely not there? Sometimes salt water crystallises and blocks it? Otherwise regular maintenance of the impeller should give piece of mind.

I was going the break in and noticed some oil coming out of the drain hole and turned it off. I opened it up and cleaned it and it looks to be good now. Is it possible that if the motor was shipped upside down gear oil got in there from the hole in front of the water pump where the shaft goes?
