    Everything looks great, but I'm wondering why you did not grease certain areas. Example: Where the brake pads slide on the metal clips. Thanks.

    Yes, always good to grease the metal on metal contact areas. I should have demonstrated that in this video.

    Amazing Video. I have a question for you. My 2018 Elantra has 14k miles. When I slightly brake, it used to make a clunk (Metal to Metal contact) sound at the rear. The dealer said they "fixed" it. But now I hear rubber to rubber contact kinda sound from the rear. Any idea what could be going on? They also said there is 6mm of the pads left on the rear brakes and 11 mm on the front. Is this normal for 14k mile? Please advise. :)

  • @InsaneOil

    @InsaneOil

    5 жыл бұрын

    Typically front brake pads will last between 40-60k miles and rear brake pads last 80-100k miles...depending on your driving style.

    @@InsaneOil That is wonderful. During my service at the dealership, they did a complementary inspection and the report says that the rear brake pads are at 6mm and the front are at 11mm. ( I'm assuming both of them start off at 12 mm) . Is it possible for the rear brakes to wear so much in a short amount of time?

  • @InsaneOil

    @@anirudhranganatha3827 Anything is possible. Ask them what percentage is left on the rear pads. It could be that Hyundai is putting a little thinner pads on the rear with their newer models. If they say there is 80% left, then you are good to go for a good long while. If they say there is 40% left, then I think there is excessive wear for some reason.

    "quality" my ass. you're on here for the money not to help people. hence why you made a video that should be like 5 mins 20 mins and talk 100ft an hr. like seriously. admit it that your're here to fill your wallet and id be fine with all this promotional bullshit. just look at any "trusted" repair tech on here. like ericthecarguy. when he"s sponsored or trying to sell something he films and ad himself to put in the video. he doesn't make basically the whole video an ad. like seriously i checked you couldn't even go 5 mins without plugging amsoil again. i'm sorry i sound butthurt but you have to realize you're making tutorial videos. not entertainment. i'm not looking for a tutorial just for it to be a plug for some bullshit spray that's just expensive wd-40
