My daughter just bought a '08 Avenger (her first car), and she's got a bad ball joint that I'll take care of for her. Great video! Extremely helpful!

Gave up on my generic ball joint press for this car! Threw the whole thing on my work bench, got my cutoff tool and strarted grinding some metal off it around the rim. Then hosed it down with pb blaster, took a hammer and after a few minutes of therapeutic violence...it shot off onto the floor. Then...to get it on. Cleaned out the hole, greased it and the new ball joint seated with the cup and hammer only. Went on pretty smooth. Had to disconnect so much to do control arms and ball joints I now feel like I'm Chrysler-certified for front end repair🤣

Put the balljoints in the freezer.. When ur ready to put them in just heat up the hole with a torch, cold balljoint will press in by hand.

Have a Sebring, they don't want to budge. Car did come from a bigger city that uses a lot of salt in the winter. Might need steering knuckles that aren't so rusted. Back to the junk yard I guess. Damn..lol
