I have this model. It is the 09 SPORT AWD. Love the way it rides and the power of the 3.6 VVT engine versus the 3.4l engine is night and day. This is my second Equinox. My first was a 05 Equinox LT AWD.

We had a 07 Equinox, Engine died at 240,000mi but it had been through multiple accidents. Great vehicle!! Wish she had bought another.

I just bought one as my first car a few days ago. 2 previous owners, 117,000 miles, well maintained, practically no rust (rare in michigan) and I love it 😊

I've had a 2010 for two months. The ride is great. Smooth and quiet.

I have the LT Version I love it. I get around 27 MPG with a K&N Air filter and truck rated road tires inflated to 40 PSI. I live in Alaska and it is great in ice & snow on hills with AWD. The sound system is awesome I love the MP3 jack the computer is useful on trips and optimizing gas millage. Theirs lots of room in the back for cargo even with the seats up. Overall this car is worth every penny and I enjoyed driving it much more than the import SUVs in its class.

Had one of these as a rental. I actually liked it a lot. Cute model too.

Its now 2022 LETS LOOK BACK ... I own two Equinox, a 2008 and a 2009 both AWD ... Now in 2022 you can find a decent one in the $2000 to $4000 range, The 3.4L engine has proven to be a pretty solid engine that if well maintained will easily hit 200K miles or more. The 1st gen Equinox is roomy with decent fuel economy even by 2022 standards. They are easy to fix compared to many newer models. Many 1st gen's are still on the road today more that 20 years since the car was first introduced in 2005. History has shown that this model stood the test of time fairly well.

Good post, i agree i have a 2007 lt fully loaded but i chose the sunroof instead of the dvd system, after all no one sits in the back so the dvd system would have been useless for me anyway. all others who hate on the EQ, stop haten, cause theres nothing to dislike. jealosy is an evil thing!!

How many of you guys have been turn down by the disastrous customer service of your dealership? they are really nice befor you buy the car, but one you buy it, their service go down and they make you feel like a silly and fool clown. My first experince buiyng a vehicle was terrible. i didnt have much experience which made me a naive ...

I can't wait to get another Equinox. My wife and I traded ours in and now we can't fit a car seat, 2 dogs, and a stroller in our Grand Prix GT!

@dave777blaster Nothing wrong with push rod engines. And over head cam engines are very far from modern. What makes engines advance these days are the electronic aides.

@agenthelios1 i have an 04 Nox, and it's a fast truck an all but entry level? no this thing cost me 25k brand new in04 and that was with my GM discount. and the Sport Nox can get up to 150 mph. The SS TB can do 150mph too but the fact of the matter is, the faster you go and the more heat is generated up front means that you need more cooling ducts, hence why GM put them there.

person in the car business. I chose to buy a dogde caravan. the car saleman seemed to be nice and honest and the service in general was good, but as soon as singed all the papar in order to close the deal with this company, many things changed...after a couple of weeks driving this vehecle, it starting to show setious problems. i went back to the dealership and the explanations didnt make sense at all. I have to expend a lot money in repairments and the company didnt responde for this..not even

the warranty that i paid for the vehicle.......I have to sell this vehicle and i lose a lot of money. i learnt a leason in the hard way. Be aware, because in the car business there are a lot of dirty things going on. The only good thing about my experince is that baseed on the anger against these people, i decide to have a carrer in the automotive industry..right now im in the last year of automobile mechanics engineering..I want to teach those who were not honest with a how things can be done
