    Spot on about the plug reading Leon. I'm an old fart and read plugs since the 70's especially on my race engines. We were the computer and did our jet changes, timing, sparkplug selections by range, etc. & was extremely critical on boosted or nitrous engines. Technology has made tuning easier now especially with all our sensors available. Great servicing video & Sean is a trip. His expressions are pricelss especially when you were messing with him :D

    I disagree with you changing the oil specs. Synthetic 0w30 or 0w40 are way better than dino 10w40 for old engines. The wear it's the higher in the cold start, that's why 0w40 it's the best for modern diesel. It's BMW engines, if it's Toyota engine, 150k miles it's low mileage.

    That battery looks to be narrower than what the car came with (the top strap is made for a much wider battery.) I'm wondering if that's why that terminal bolt was missing - maybe it originally had thicker posts and the hack that put it in couldn't get it to tighten around the post?

    Hi I have a 1.33 Auris which takes 3.4 ltr... What if they overfilled it about 200ml or a lil more? I gave them what was leftover from a 4ltr(half ltr or more) bottle plus 3x1ltr so they put them all of it and now i guess my engine has 3,6 oil inside... I have done like 1.500km with it but yesterday i tried to remove as much as i could... Do you think it will cause any damage?

  • @bodgitandleggitgarage

    @bodgitandleggitgarage

    6 жыл бұрын

    hi mate the easiest way to do it is fine the pipe coming from the bulkhead or it might be coming off the brake reservoir follow that pipe down to you come to the cylinder you should see a bleed nipple there and Bleed it from there

    bodgit and leggit garage Thanks. Will be doing the job early may. From the part images of the clutch master on salvaged part listings / tech manuals there doesnt appear to be a bleed screw, but Ill have a proper look around myself following your tips when I have access to the vehicle. I've seen a video were they bleed the clutch master by loosening and tightening the hydraulic line, is that a viable approach if I cant find the bleeder?

    it doesn't matter how old the engine is, you still should do the same oil as for the new engine, as the engine has been designed.

  • @bodgitandleggitgarage

    @bodgitandleggitgarage

    Жыл бұрын

    Like I explained in the video the specification is the same as the manufacturer originally said An engine gets warned the tolerance is get bigger this is why you put slightly thicker oil with the same specification And also when you look at the manufacturer specification it States different thicknesses of different thicknesses of oil but the specification is the same

    Oh right. They're banned in Britain, and most states in America. Just absurd no such thing as a "dangerous breed" just idiots that own them for the wrong reasons. They're a lovely loyal breed. Even though they're banned in Britain I have some friends with them that are legally registered. Have to be insured third party and one of them had their house raided when the policy was due to be renewed to try and seize the dog.
