Just got the dipstick nut off. Used a 1/4 ratchet with an extension. Raise the car with jack and jackstands or drive up on ramps like I did. You will slide under the car feet first from the front. Then right arm comes in from the side opening and left arm from the front. When I say the front here I mean off-center front since the dipstick is to the right of center. I am using left and right as in your right and left hand in that lying position and not what is known as right and left in car lingo where left is driver’s side. Took a struggle to figure that position out with a lot of trial and error but I found coming in from the top to be worse. Bring car down flat and wait for fluid to settle before measuring. Again, this video was a great help. EDIT: Upon going back to reinstall it I can say that my experience from underneath and finding the right tools allowed me to install it from the top using the same ratchet and is better. The key was use the same ratchet but stretch your arms all the way down there from top. I tried first with the extensions but found it annoying and more unstable. Granted I’m tall. If you’re not, use a foot stool. So to sum it all up, this is probably do-able from the top preferably without extensions. So now you have 3 options: 1) How this video shows 2) My method from the top 3) My method from the bottom Choose a way that’s easiest for you.

Thanks for the info, although it would have been cool if you had showed us the whole process.

thanks for the video, but it was pretty shaky and It was difficult to pinpoint the location based on the video. Can you make another video so as to provide a better perspective of the location? Thanks a million

I agree that not having an easily accessible dipstick is the dumbest thing possible. My next vehicle, easily accessible fluid access, block heater, etc

Thanks for the video. It is hard to get to. Does anyone one know if it has to be running to check the level?

Frustrated loosing time to watch it, plus not serious to drop your plastic bottle in the mechanic at the end of video. BUT where is dipstick 12 mm nut on dipstick, why don't aligned your 12 mm box and your tricky extensions on or close to stick..., probably you still don't known where it is...

Bro, he may not have made the best explanation but it did help. We would all have gone nuts looking for that thing. Now as for not understanding, go back and read your own posts. You won’t understand yourself.
