Hey their.... fastest way is definitely the way you did it. Me and my father did my entire suspension on the 08 scion tc about a year ago same exact setup brother lol taking that transmission pan is the fastest way. We replaced the gasket and filter on the transmission seeing as we were in their. Only took extra 20 minutes. I felt bad at beginning of your video when I heard u say "should be easy" lol thinking to myself yea we thought the same thing brother man. Definitely wasn't the case. Have you done front bearings yet? Real fun time lol wish they sold the hub assembly but had to press fronts.

Lol, I had to do the front bearings once but the way I did it was get a replacement set of spindles from the junkyard and swap the bearings in those at my own pace then swapped the entire spindle assemblies. I detest pressed in bearings, but we do what we gotta do.

Ok so I should be able to drop the tranny pan to get the control arm off without jacking up the transmission?? I’m about to do this

@jackofalltrades2980 the manual is different, but you still have to detach the motor mount, because the passenger side won't clear the engine oil pan. But I got away with only loosening the motor mount near the passenger side shock mounts.

@lukeurevig4904 Yeah it was either the motor mount or the tranny pan. I didn't wanna wrestle with that rear mount or the drivers side mount so I went with the pan which went way quicker for me.

I wonder why my bolt cleared the pan well
