My 2007 has 150,000 on it an when I bought it it had 80,000 miles I have not had any major issues with it my friends have them to I guess it depends on how well you take care of them or the people that had it before you

I would think so because Wix is the leader in synthetic filtration and they have a plastic end cap that does not allow the oil to go around the filter

It lasts the OEM interval on Mercedes and most Porsches are 10,000 miles however with oil analysis there are Mercedes Sprinter vans that run the oil up to 50,000 miles which they test the oil regularly. Dimmer Sprint Mercedes Sprinter vans are diesel and some of them have bypass filters.

confused. My mechanic says change my oil in my 07 s550 every 10,000 km (writes it on a sticker).... but I see now somewhere it saying 10,000 MILES... which is like 16,000 km. I went over the 10k km mark they wrote... i'm at 12k now and was worried but would seem I'm still under by far? Is my mechanic looking to make some $$$ or is it a good idea to change more often?

It depends on the motor oil that's in your car also the oil filter they're using as well. It also depends on the driving conditions and if you're using fuel additives to clean the valves. If you are running Amsoil you would be good for 10,000 mi easy of normal driving. If you're doing city driving you want to keep an eye on the oil and see what it looks like sometimes you may want to change it sooner because city driving is very hard in the oil. I did have to add a quart of oil last week as it said to at next refueling... I guess it's getting burned up

Yeah you would definitely want to do an engine flush You have some carbon around your rings and it's a good idea to get that out of there Your engine will run a lot better.

It's near the fire wall and to the left. It's a blue tab.

There is no dip stick, the dip stick in the back of the engine bay by the windshield is for transmission fluid. Need an ECU to measure oil.

I opened my oil cap of my 2013 S550 while engine running and oil squirted out.... is that normal?

More when you tilt it towards the drain plug you actually get more fluid out than sucking it out sometimes the oil coolers can hold a half a quart to one quart of oil depending on the vehicle when you tip it to the side it can all drain out and on the 1s class it took about 10 and 1/2 quarts. I've had an 07 for about 6 years now, it's 2021 (since 2015) changed some air struts, brakes, control arms... alt, battery.... a few other smaller things. I can't complain but I don't gun the accelerator either. I treat her with respect. Seems 200k km isn't too much on these cars.
