2007 GMC Acadia Air Conditioning Recharge

The A/C in our 2007 GMC Acadia was not working very well so I suspected it was low on refrigerant , which it was. It looked as though the R-134a had possibly leaked out from the service ports. In this video I replace the charge port valves, evacuate the system with a vacuum pump and recharge the system.

Did same repair on our Acadia works like a charm. Unless it was edited out next time an important step is to purge out the air from the yellow line before introducing the refrigerant from the low side valve into the system. Keep up the good work👍

Your wrong. The low side is the top. The high side is the bottom line. Have to fill from high. This is a mistake that people make. Just letting you know

Actually, you're wrong. Low side is the bottom and that's where you're supposed to charge from. I let my initial fill into vacuum through the high side, then with vehicle running it's low side charging through the rest of the process. Pretty standard. The only thing I didn't like him do was open the line to the can side valve, which allows air and humidity to contaminate the line

It is pretty much right in front of the alternator, it has the same black cap as the high side.
