Thank you, Thank you! Chrysler dealer said bushings not sold separately. Want $288 to replace the whole cable. You’re an answer to prayer!

Thanks for posting this video. Excellent explanation and instruction. I watched your video as I worked my way to the bushing. I've ordered the bushing for $19 and it will be here in two days. Mine was the bushing that connects to the shifter. Great job. Thanks again.

Dude thank you! Just had to replace the one on the inside and I would have had no idea where to begin. Little blurry but the arrows help and you explained things very well!

Thank you so much! I've tried and checked everything! The one under the hood was still connected, I changed the brake power switch and did the manual overide. It went from being stuck in park to the dash saying that it was in reverse. Thanks for giving me another solution!!!

Thank you sooooo much for this. I was trying to leave with my grand kids and before leaving the street I pulled over to make sure they were in their seat belts I had to pull over put the car in park, got them right and tried to proceed, put the car in drive and tried to drive, well it wouldn't move, shifter moved but not the car. So I came to KZread and found you. My daughter '30' and I '50' followed your instructions but we didn't use new bushings we just put the connector back on and now it's back in the driveway. I have to go and get new bushings. It's the connector under the shifter that came off. It was only God who stopped us because he knew they needed their car seats and not just a seat belt. Had we went any further the tragedy that would have come. Thanks to you my Heavenly Father.

I'm very happy that you found the video helpful, but even happier to hear your testimony and giving the credit to Jesus! Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Thanks for the help, brother. This video helped me rig up the cable when our Sebring stranded my son tonight. Cable bushing busted below the air box like you showed, I was able to get it home, and ordering a new on in the AM.

I have done the bushing under the hood 3 times, pretty easy. But I kept thinking if that one is going bad I'll bet the hand shifter is going to go sooner or later. Sure enough, I'm looking inside the car, I'm thinking OMG I have to take the entire console out,,LOL . Anyway I watched your video, I was like oh okay. Also I used the same company to purchase the bushing for the one under the hood. 🙂 Thanks for posting, great video.

Awesome video. Car just stranded me in the bank atm an hour ago. Got the car home by popping the hood and putting the car into gear by pulling the cable under the air box. I'm barely looking into it but it seems it broke under the shifter in my case as well. Either way your video helped me a ton. Thanks!
