Just uploaded the stock sound on mine, it's the 4.4 though, it sounds different still.

Hi, first off sweet looking motor buddy! I have had a v8 4.4 and loved the sound very time I started her up just the mpg killed me after a while but hey gotta have fun though. Can I ask what's the average mpg in these as it's a bigger block an what method of rev-matching do u do if this is the step-tronic box? Thanks and agree with the other guy brill vids an hard to let a beauty go!!

On the highway with medium/light traffic id say 17.5-18.5mpg is reasonable; 19-21mpg at 75ish, steady no hills.. Typically I'm around 14mpg for an avg. For the rev match, man i don't know. I just spend so much time only driving in manual mode its almost instinctive feel of knowing when the transmission is just right to blip. nine out of ten go well, but it can be hard to catch; also i dont do it every time, just for fun. thanks for the comments!

At 1:02 I know these have a manual mode, is it rev-matching for you or are you blipping the throttle? I heard it in your other fly-by video and I'm curious. Lovely car with an amazing sound.

Daven Williams I slightly tap to 'Rev match' it makes a tad difference when downshifting, and it sounds great. where's an affordable 6spd manual conversion when you need one. i hate automatics but ya go no choice.

Jon Paul Coppersmith It sounds like a perfect rev match, so if it works, do what ya can right? Been looking for an X5 like this, I'm in love.

Daven Williams haha I had it up for sale and then bought a commuter, and just have it parked for nice days and weekends. Spent a lot getting new air suspension etc.. but it's hard for me to let go now that it's all fixed!

Jon Paul Coppersmith I can imagine it'd be difficult letting such a beast go! I love seeing these videos of yours, she really is a beauty. I'd looked at first gen X5 Ms for when I have the money (they seem to be depreciating rapidly) but the E53 is a much prettier car inside and out, especially the 4.8is. I'd love to so some dash cam back road videos when I can afford one....
