Just bought a 2.8 V6 Aero Convertible. I already own a V6 estate so I know the economy is crappie with those engines but I don't care. I've always wanted a Saab convertible a d I can't wait for spring

    I'm on my 7th Saab since 1990..I've had 2 x c900, 3 x 9000CSE, a 9-5 HOT Aero(which I still own having bought it 13 yrs ago) and my every day drive a 9-3 1.9tid estate...love them.

Seven!!! That's amazing, good on you. The estates do look very interesting, I definitely would like to own more Saabs. Very jealous of the 9-5 Aero, well done on owning it for so long. The Saab community is just great.

Great car! These are $6-7k here in the states with this mileage and year. You can operate the top up to 25mph. You can also do it remotely with the key fob. Night panel is pretty cool as well if you drive at night. I’ve had 2 of these and currently buying another one in a few weeks. I found a showroom quality, 2004 Aero 2.0T with 77k miles. Wonderful cars.

Thank you! I agree about the night panel, so unique. I wasn't aware you could operate the roof from the key, will give it a go. I do appreciate our car market over here in the UK, this one would be equivalent of like 1500 USD. Congrats on finding a perfect condition 2.0T, I'm very jealous! Definitely looking to buy a petrol too when the opportunity comes along.

Saabs are superb. Relaxed long distance driving, very comfy. I'm not a great fan of convertibles, but yours looks so nice. Beware of corrosion from the inside and out. Enjoy the Saab and keep on rolling!

Thanks for your comment! I really do agree, Saabs are truly excellent. They can do it all. Mine is clear from even minor corrosion underneath.

I bought a 56 plate Saab 9-3 for £700. 4 years ago. Change the oil and filter every autumn and keep it clean and it's lovely. 2.0t vector sport 👍

@user-nq4ht1xs8s ah that's brilliant thank you and as I have 2 of the same engines and have only replaced one dpf, I luckily retained the last one so will indeed do as you suggest. There's a leaking egr elbow pipe on one and I fear the mechanic replaced the dpf when it may well have been the hose. Oh well only money lol. Thanks again
